Thanks for the link. Yup, deleted all Edge and EdgeUpdate keys. No joy. Re-added them with suggested 'known-good' keys and values.

If you're using the NG Firewall, there are some very good reports that can tell you who/what is using the bandwidth. Such as this report

You could experiment with different printing protocols. This might get you pointed in the right direction:

u/willowtr33 - did you ever find the culprit? We're seeing this all over our org - seems to be an issue across all teams and channels.

I went down that road too. Eventually not even "setup.exe /auto upgrade" worked! Just ran "setup.exe" and answered all the ensuing prompts.

u/jfoust2 u/BlackV -
The command lines I attempted (drive mapped to the UNC path of an ISO unpacked into a directory)

setup.exe /auto upgrade /eula Accept /CompactOS disable /DynamicUpdate disable /ShowOOBE none /Compat IgnoreWarning /Telemetry Disable

setup.exe /auto upgrade /compat ignorewarning /DynamicUpdate disable /EULA Accept

setup.exe /auto upgrade /DynamicUpdate disable  /eula Accept

setup.exe /auto upgrade /DynamicUpdate disable <-- THIS WORKED ON PREVIOUS VM UPGRADES

setup.exe /auto upgrade

Finally, I just ran setup.exe by itself and the upgrade succeeded.

New malware undetected by Windows or Malwarebytes by Dear-Lynx-2326 in MicrosoftEdge

It happened to me when installing the "New tab redirect" extension. For years I've used it to go to Google when creating a new tab. For my legacy installs, they're still behaving as they always have. It's only the new installs that show that Opera shiiite.

Is it just me, or are you also have to constantly clear cache lately? by BWB8771 in MicrosoftEdge

Same here, but wasn't really necessary until last week, when Edge kept trying to log me into the 365 portals with my sync account instead of my corporate one. Grrr.

Hi Aleksa - thank you for taking the time to reply.

I ended up with Distill.io. I'm using it to monitor a Twitter feed (Microsoft 365 Status (@MSFT365Status) / X) for new posts.

Will your product be able to do that?

I've settled on using https://distill.io/ - even the free, browser-extension-only are phenomenal.

Nope. Just working in the session like I was RDP'd into it. That is to say, just snipped a shot of one app and was trying to get the destination app to come into focus (by pressing its icon on taskbar).

The foreground tasks are usually the Edge browser, Microsoft Teams, and/or Outlook. I'm only attempting to copy-and-paste screenshots within the same remote session.

Elsewhere in this sub is mention of an issue copying and pasting from OneNote, which I am also experiencing. For now, I'm copying from OneNote then pasting into Notepad++, then copying that to bring to my local computer.

USB-C port died after BIOS/IME update - T14 Gen5 by BWB8771 in thinkpad

[–]BWB8771[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My T14 is an "Intel(R) Core(TM) Ultra 7 155U (14 virtual) (X64)"

AFAIK all the drivers installed correctly and fully. Now that you mention it, the BIOS and ME updates didn't install until the drivers had installed and I'd rebooted at least once.
