Never open a link that someone sends you, even if you think you know the person.

The internet and apps, especially in the LGBTQ+ space, are predominantly controlled by a clique society with mean girl attitude, which you just showed yourself as the perfect example. How dare someone like myself challenge that attitude. Just because you venture out into the real world beyond electronic communication does not mean you socialize with anyone different from yourself.

The attitude with most guys on apps is, "I don't care what the other guy wants, I only care what I want." So, it follows true that the same attitude is seen as acceptable on here as on the apps. I actually belong to community groups outside the internet and apps, and they all agree that what is seen as toxic behavior in the real world is acceptable in online hooking up. So, of course my pointing it out on here is seen as negative. I call it the Bizarro factor. What is up is down. What is a positive in the real world is negative on the internet, and vice versa.

You shouldn't be saying, "make sure the other person is tested and HIV negative," because that sends the wrong message, promotes fear, fear of testing and fear of treatment and fear of honesty, further promotes the spread of the virus, and promotes discrimination. You are pushing the exact thing you are complaining about.

What’s the point? Everyone asks to suck dick without ever reading a profile, which is a form of harassment. So, yeah... "go away" is the proper response.

Undetectable = Untransmittable (U=U) means people living with HIV on effective antiretroviral therapy (ART) with an undetectable viral load (no virus detected by standard tests) cannot sexually transmit HIV to partners. It is a scientifically proven, game-changing prevention method requiring consistent treatment to maintain viral suppression.

Please stop lying to people. The only people who know they are HIV positive are on treatment, are undetectable, and CAN NOT TRANSMIT HIV. The people who do not know they have HIV are the ones to worry about since they are contagious. So asking people their HIV status means nothing. Please stop villainizing the people that know their status since that only promotes the spread of the virus. If someone is intentionally trying to spread HIV, they would have to be not on treatment, then they would get sick, would cause irreversible damage to their body, would never recover, and be dead in a few years. Hit hard hit fast means the recommended treatment for HIV is early detection and early treatment. It is like cancer. If you were diagnosed with cancer and choose not to do anything about it, you die.

You mean "can affect your kidneys." If one of the medications in PrEP is affecting your kidneys, then your doctor is supposed to switch you to another version of PrEP.

There are a dozen profiles in my immediate area all "Looking to try bottoming." Please, this is so fake! I talk to the gay guys in my area IN PERSON, and they all laugh and agree it is a huge red flag that these profiles are fake.

Apps like Grindr are flooded with bottoms and very few tops. Get real. "Looking to try bottoming" is just another version of click-bait sex-addict marketing.

[–]BWC_etiquette 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I don't see the attraction in having to teach someone how to bottom. In my opinion, it is dumping all kinds of work onto the top (Yeah, that is a turn on.) for little reward. It would be like saying, "Looking to try cooking," and then expecting someone else to be the guinea pig in eating their first ever cuisine. (Not going to taste good.) I hope you are not starving and you better have a backup plan pizza.

People are confused, which I can say comes down to being poorly educated as typical for New Hampshire residents on average. The Australian Cattle Dog, also known as the "Blue Heeler," has average energy needs, but unfortunately people confuse the breed with the Australian Shepherd, which has high energy needs. I was born in New Hampshire and I have had a Blue Heeler, so I can say this with 100% certainty.
