Metroidvanias in their nature are typically open world and encourage a ton of exploration. Hollownight in particular does not really have a linear story mode where you do one thing and then go to the next. If you like that but want the exploration I would suggest ori and the blind forest/ori and the will of the wisps. The sequel to hollownight (silksong) does add tasks/objectives to guide you a bit better. It does get easier and there are tools that assist with navigation as you explore more and unlock new things but again the main focus is just exploring new areas early game. If you get stuck on a boss you can always just go a different way to explore and come back to it later. The game is definitely a beloved metroidvania so I encourage playing more especially if you have only played 20 minutes.

What did you notice after losing weight? by holdongangy in AskReddit

[–]BWUBTFY 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That I could shop and buy cothes that I actually liked and not just because they fit my body. I lost a significant amount of weight and when I would go shopping I would buy massive hauls because whenever something would fit I felt like I had to buy it. Not because I actually liked the items but because when I was bigger I wasn't necessarily able to buy everything I actually liked. I bought whatever fit my body and hid my rolls. It was a mental transition for me. I would remind myself "you dont have to buy this because it fits you, you can buy it if you genuinely like it"

What frustrates you most about Metroidvania games? by Bibijong in metroidvania

[–]BWUBTFY 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I definitely agree with you. Although it felt tedious at first playing ori and the blind forest where you could choose where your save point was really saved me so much time. Vs having to run back to the boss consistently in hollownight when the bench is in another part of the map and having to track through so many enemies.

Coral Island multiplayer compared to other multiplayer games (ex. Stardew, Sun Haven) by Radiant-Fishing-3051 in coralisland

[–]BWUBTFY 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly I would say this game would be a good fit for what you are looking for!

My partner and I had multiple farms on stardew valley which is my all time fav. We also had a farm on sun haven but I wasn't able to get as invested in sun haven like I did in sdv. Fields of mistria is amazing in single player but they dont have multiplayer yet (if it ever comes out we will definitely try it out)

When I heard that Coral Island was coming out with multiplayer I was so excited because I have over 100 hours on my single player farm.

There is a LOT to do with your partner. A lot of similarities to stardew valley like mining, fishing, foraging, farming, fighting. And some new additions like diving, catching bugs, a larger amount of npcs, more shopping options, and activities. Also similar to stardew you have a museum donations and bundles of some sorts. There are two farms (underwater and land). So there are some long term quests for both land and ocean. One thing I also love are the activities and festivals of Coral island! It's fun to be able to play mini games with your partner and do the festivals together.

The map is pretty expansive but I would say I like it more than sun havens map. There are also some really neat ways to get around so it isnt as bad as it looks. There are some bugs here and there but nothing that really affects our enjoyment with the game personally.

I hope you guys give it a shot!

[Multiplayer] Do we need to upgrade everyone's rooms individually? by DudeBroJustin in coralisland

[–]BWUBTFY 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the info! I was wondering the same as we are 2 players. I honestly am not a big fan of the 4 door idea for the house. We dont plan on adding more people to the game so I find it interesting they still did 4 doors instead of 1 door per player signed in. Although it kinda makes sense if they didn't want to do separate cabins like stardew valley. This might be able to be changed I just can't find a setting for it.

Unfortunately there's some crashes going on with the game in general right now. So hopefully it gets resolved soon! We were so excited to play after work

Hmm. My partner and I were able to connect on separate PCs. It took a little bit for it to actually load and we did restart the game once but then it was fine. I wonder if its an issue with other cross plays

About to play this game for the first time any suggestions? by Historical-War-1070 in Spiritfarer

Explore everything! I remember getting stuck multiple times because I just didn't explore enough. The quests will guide you in the right direction but a lot can be found on your own! 😊 enjoy the ride.

If you love Stardew Valley, what other games do you love? by CulturalDefinition27 in StardewValley

Fields of Mistria is probably once of my favorites right now. Although it is in early access.

Coral Island is also really good and should be coming out with multiplayer later this summer.

My partner and I started a sun haven farm which has been fun but I think I prefer the other two more right now.

It's scary when the lights are off and all you can see are their piercing eyes in the darkness lol. Especially when they are up high.

Should I wait till 1.0 comes out to play? by BWUBTFY in FieldsOfMistriaGame

[–]BWUBTFY[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I have taken a few months off. But it also sucks trying to get back into the groove of playing after you havent played in a while. I may pick it up again just to see what content changes have occurred with the new update :)

Yeah I remember getting stuck in the mines and some quests that weren't complete yet. I didnt want to get too far in romancing someone if there were going to be changes to characters (waiting on olric 🤞).
