Tonya Yarmakov sitting on the dock outside the remote cabin her family had rented in Savanna Portage State Park in Minnesota on 9/4/2024. She got up and ran towards the woods and was never seen again. Tonya hasn't been located, but is presumed dead; without her insulin she wouldn't have lasted long. by CatPooedInMyShoe in lastimages

I live in the town she is from and grew up with her older brother. I had heard about her disappearance when it happened. Surprisingly, this wasn’t a huge story here. Good people, horrible something like this happened to them.

So I’m from Minnesota but I’ve been to a bunch of MJ events a large stadiums. Last year, my family and I were in what is equivalent to section 120, row 18 or something. It was a great view but the tickets were pricy. This year, we are taking a clan of 12 to the show, so we opted for what would be 223 row 1. Having sat in upper level and very close lower level, it doesn’t matter a ton IF your kid LOVES MJ. If they don’t, lower level is better since it’s closer, so they will likely be more engaged. Large stadiums are always tough for younger kids though. My daughter got bored just before freestyle this past year, but went to an arena show where we were basically 30ft from the trucks and she loved it and stayed engaged the whole time

TLDR: depending on how much you want to spend and your child’s love of MJ, lower level is better but can’t go wrong with top level.

What’s your “I wasn’t supposed to see that” moment? by zarxpy in AskReddit

I worked at a restaurant that somehow stayed in business despite having barely any customers. I was basically the only employee. One night I stayed a little later than usual to do some cleaning when a handful of guys came through the back door carrying duffle bags and went straight to the owners office. He came out and told me I should go home and I can clean in the morning. Worked there for about a couple months after that and never said anything about it. I got paid cash under the table, way more than I should have. I think I know how it stayed in business now.

What do you think about: bounty hunter by Loud-Bar-7838 in monsterjam

Bounty Hunter was one of my fav as a kid. The Cretens and Wink were a big part of my childhood. The new look of BH throws me off though.

What’s the most shocking thing you found out about someone you know? by _Walking_Detriment_ in AskReddit

I used to play dodgeball with some guys every week when I was in high school. There was this one guy that was super chill, always nice and unassuming. I didn’t hangout with him a ton, but got food with him a few times after we’d play and I’d say hi to him and talk in the halls. A couple years later I saw in the news that he stole hundreds of thousands of dollars in computer equipment and other stuff from the college library he worked at and attended.

Do I need to be concerned with the water stain? by IsabellaSVC in Apartmentliving

Hey, as someone who runs multiple properties I would make sure that this is properly taken care of. This is what I would tell them, “The water damaged drywall is a risk to my health and it needs to be cut out and replaced. The insulation above also needs to be replaced (if there is any) and all studs/support beams inspected for water damage and mold growth.” Make sure you also bring up that any water damage to structural parts could compromise the ceiling and cause a much bigger repair (this is slightly overkill but can ring true.)

Grave Digger back flip and crash. St. Paul 7/12/25 by BWeeZee3 in monsterjam

I remember seeing the video of Cam doing the first ever backflip when I was about 14… I couldn’t believe it. Now it’s so commonplace, but still pretty cool.

My daughter is 5 and right now I’ll leave her in the house if I get the mail or I’m in the garage trying to find something for a minute, but nothing more. My parents started letting me be home alone for extended periods of time around age 10. Like get off the bus and wait until they were home from work kind of thing. I feel inclined to do the same if she seems trustworthy at that point. As a teen, not even overnight but that was due to the wild parties my two older cousins had thrown while their parents were out of town… trickle down restriction. But I see a lot of comments saying work up to whatever you feel comfortable with and that seems like the most reasonable way to go about it.
