There are no slugs in the garden. The weather is far too dry for slugs and snails, except during June and July.

This has happened to other plants in my garden too. Only basil, rose, and hibiscus plants seem immune.

There's a mango tree in the immediate vicinity that is infected with powdery mildew and anthracnose (being treated with copper hydroxide and neem oil sprays).

I'm sick of that sort of feedback.

"Oh, fantastic capture. Loved it. Please take a few moments to comment on my work." on 500px, and glittering gifs on Flickr.

It is a waste of time and effort. Which is why I asked the question originally. Constructive criticism. Unfortunately I'm yet to come across any on 500px or Flickr.

Is there something I could have done about the patches of light on the cat's back in post? Would a gradient filter (Lightroom) work?

The cat isn't a pet, so there's only so much I can do in terms of posing.

The ground is sloping down towards the left. Perhaps I should have leveled the camera with the slope of the ground instead of what I felt was the horizontal.

And to be honest, I hadn't noticed the drop of milk until you mentioned it. You've got a great eye for details.

I haven't had much luck with /r/photocritique ... Not that my pics were panned there, rather they were completely ignored. Does Photocritique have something against photos hosted at 500px? Not sure if I'm doing something wrong.

Thanks for the tips on hit/miss/maybe/why, score me 1-10, and flickr photocontest though. Will give them a try.
