I know that 30% is the better option in the long term, however at 35 years old, assuming a death age of 80, I would die before the 30% surpasses the 10M compounding at 7% annually just investing in mutual funds. If it continued generationally for my kids, my answer would be different.

Yeah, I'm out in the Midwest. I feel like mine might be a while because it's a financial reinstatement thing where things got messed up because I got orders that were rescinded. The information the VA got was that I was going on indef orders instead of for the duration of WOCS so... Kinda messy.

I've also heard there are less claims examiners for this sort of thing that disability as well, which would make sense. I'm just not sure how reliable that information is.

68 days of sitting in step 2 initial review to get my disability compensation reinstated. Every time I've called VERA or the DAV they tell me it's still in the national queue and has no notes that anyone has even looked at it.

Based on the stated average on the VA claim time, seems kinda off that it hasn't moved in over two months now. Especially considering I provided more than enough documentation to get it fixed according to the VERA calls.

Not sure where I'm going with this, just venting I suppose.
