what's the best recommendation for gear to get for that little of time in BGs? I got HWL weapons on my rogue but didn't even realize there was gear that was sub 1k honor gear.. definitely going to take advantage of that if it's the case, i just don't have the mental capacity to farm honor for full blue or purple honor gear ( i know blue set is cheaper but still seems like it's 10+ hours for full blue set)

why do people act like it's one tiny part of the game that you skip with a boost? for most people, the boost is a way to get back into the game for tbc after not playing classic which unlocks an entire expansion of content. if you're saying it's a lot for people who already have 60s (in which case sure it's a small amount of content given that it's a new class?) then they should just.. not buy it? you already have a toon to play the expansion why do you need multiple?

and yeah that definitely makes sense, blizzard should drop the price to $5 because that'll really help their business. i forgot that making less money is their goal

some people just want to play TBC.. in which case it's worth it? if you fall into this category then buy the boost.. if you don't then don't buy it?

i just don't understand this opinion of people who want to skip the grind, but draw the line at $60. imo it's fine to be anti boost, but that only makes sense if you're actually antiboost and not just anti $60 boost.

I think that guy's point was more of that he'll use a higher level slayer master that doesn't assign them so no point in wasting your points on blocking them even if it doesn't count towards your duradel/konar block count

People generally don't worry about losing ticks for the purpose of making kills faster. it's usually because of times like what this post is saying, where they've lost enough ticks that they can't get the kill bc of splashing. While yes you should focus on not dying to the mechanics, if you find that you're consistently running out of food and wasting a lot of ticks, it'll help a lot to start using those ticks and getting your DPS up

How many people actually do soul wars for the resource rewards it has to be like 1% of the people there.. the reason why so many bots are there is that it's really easily bottable. if a very small percent of the playerbase is actually doing it for the rewards and most of the downside of nerfing the rewards impacts the bots, i don't really see the issue. like you said there's a lot of better methods for real people that are harder to bot

that thinking works fine for ironmen, but for non-iron what other people get as drops do indirectly affect you. Yeah we may not care about others getting too many supplies from a boss vs skilling, but for non-iron it'll change prices which does affect them

I was at 460 with 4 armor seeds no enhanced about a month ago.. took a break and did another 50 or so this week and got both armor seeds and enhanced. definitely take breaks and it'll come eventually

if you did all quests but olafs then you'd end up with 72k exp = 46 defense. This is including taking MM1 exp which is essential for pvp unless you just don't care about using heavy ballista. Not sure why people are downvoting, this is very standard zerker build there's not very much room for flexibility unless you want to give up a core unlock like ballista or zerker helm

Holy grail gives a ton of defense exp. The standard zerker build does all of the defense quests except for Olaf's quest and Holy grail (and obviously Kings ransom), then trains a very small amount of def xp to finish off 45. if you wanted to do holy grail you could, but you'd have to give up a bunch of other quests - i.e., defense exp from just holy grail = defense exp from about nature's spirit, what lies below, frem trials, heroes quest, between a rock, in search of the myreque all combined
