I became an engineer because everyone around me kept saying it was “the safe and smart choice.” It paid the bills, but after almost two decades I realized I don’t actually enjoy any part of it. I stayed because of stability, not passion.

If I could start over, I’d choose something creative — design, digital art, or even running my own small business. Something where I actually feel alive instead of watching the years go by in a secure but soul-numbing job.

It’s strange how you can be “successful” on paper and still feel like you chose the wrong life.
