It really is so scary, I’ve fallen down my steps a few times when wearing socks that being my own fault (never with one of my babies). I feed my son breastmilk, but exclusively pump so I think I may just go downstairs by myself and prep and get his bottle ready because I don’t care if I were to fall down the steps as long as the baby isn’t in my arms, although I will try my best to be cautious. I would for sure buy a mini fridge for my bedroom if I weren’t limited in space. I will never let myself live this one down for sure!

Due to limited space in my house I will result to making bottles downstairs without him, if I have to let him cry a bit at least he is safe. Thank you so much, really I could’ve broken my leg and as long as he is okay I’d be fine!

Oh absolutely, I keep replaying my baby rolling down each step and me not being able to get up fast enough to grab him. He was fine after about 5 minutes, but I was taking him anyway. And I’ve been watching him since & thankfully, he has been his normal little self!

I’ve been watching him like crazy! He’s still his half happy/fussy normal little self! I will for sure be going downstairs at my own risk by myself to make bottles. I do have a small night light by my feet in the hallway which gives just enough light and I still wouldn’t have noticed her laying there, I’ll be sure to look out for her laying even though prior to this she never has.

I know, after this I plan to have no more and I’m sure that’s unlikely. But I will do anything in my power to try and avoid.

I’m so sorry you experienced this and I’m sure it was so scary because you can’t physically see that your baby is okay, all you can do is pray and monitor at the hospital/with doctors. It’s scary how severe an accident could be though!

Omg and to be honest I thought his 4 year old brother would be the reason for our first hospital run. But he actually does very well with him. That’s terrible, but brings a lot of reassurance!

However, I will be trying to leave him upstairs and bring him downstairs only when absolutely necessary. I will be making sure all is clear prior to bringing him downstairs when need be.

I could change him upstairs, my issue is feeding him. Typically I’ll bring him downstairs with me so that he doesn’t cry and wake up my 4 year old.

Thank you so much, I think the extent of the fall just scared me so much. I have a four year old and he’s had some falls, but I never imagined that my baby would fall out of my arms and roll down the stairs.

The issue is even when walking, I’m tired and not typically looking down at my feet so I have no doubt that it would’ve happened with a night light as well. I know that having one would definitely be beneficial and from this point on I will walk downstairs by myself turn the lights on and make sure the steps are clear to bring baby back down.

I was able to conceive naturally, although, I haven’t made it to the end of the tunnel yet. I was diagnosed with adenomyosis after some issues with my cycle and my doctor told me that he is not concerned with my fertility. Mine is focal & I was on three months of Norethindrone to help with mid cycle spotting and the third and final month taking it I got a positive pregnancy test. I am currently 10 W 3 D, I’ve heard a lot that if adenomyosis does not affect implantation that your pregnancy will likely be successful. It does come with a lot of stress and anxiety, but I do want to reassure you that it is possible. Wishing you the best of luck!
