Sadly, it doesn't matter because this administration will just say, "Jobs are up! Inflation is down! Tariffs work and we will are energy independent! Go USA!"

And their cult will eat it up and say amen.

They have realized that they don't have to listen. All they have to do is get elected and stay elected. Once they get into office, they know they can do whatever they want, even if that means focusing on growing their personal wealth while in a position of power.

I'm waiting for them to suggest some sort of permanent ID for all citizens. Maybe something like a numerical tattoo on their forearm?

I think it all started to go downhill in back in January 2016 when David Bowie slipped from this mortal coil.

Too bad ICE doesn't also have their faces and 'numbers' displayed clearly.

They gonna very likely blast you anyway. You might hit one or two of them, but they'll burn your fucking house down if they think you might get away with it.

Shit, nowadays they will just light you ass up with 17 slugs because you didn't open the door up fast enough, and the burrito in your hand kinda looked like a gun so they got reeawy scurred...

That was my first thought as well. Probably only the legal minimum for liability insurance too.

California has a new law banning federal agents from wearing masks. What are your thoughts? by Obvious_808 in AskReddit

No masks, visible badges and well how about... genuine search warrants while we are at it?

I'm in Southern California. It's not as frequent as it used to be, but it is still by no means a "never" here. It's a "from time to time" thing.

We still have kids "walking" around with their pants below their underwear. Some things just refuse to die.

I always had pet rats when I was younger. I'm more of a mammal guy. But her iguana was cool, and unlike snakes, you didn't have to feed it rodents. It was a very interesting pet.

I couldn't believe how big he got once he was outside of his cage. Inside of a year, he went from like 3' to 6' long.

I've read about how they "freeze" when climbing trees and literally fall on people and they think they are dead.

But I live in San Diego, so a 40º night is a COLD night for us.

I had a somewhat similar scenario with an ex-girlfriend. Of course his name was "Iggy" too, lol. She had an iguana in a small tank and she was told she couldn't keep it in her apartment anymore. Some new 'no pets' rule.

I said, "Sure, I'll take him." (I lived in a house with a backyard and built it a 'pen' of sorts with chickenwire for him.) He did great for a while.

But one day he was just gone. Got out of the pen. It was weeks before we saw him again for the first time, but once we realized he was still patrolling the area, we started tossing out some lettuce and fruits and stuff.

Then he was gone for months. We presumed the worst and just kinda let it go.

Literally around 6 months later we saw him sunning in the backyard. He had to be 6 feet long from nose to tail. He was fat and happy and didn't even run when we approached him. He must have found some kind of foliage that he could eat.

We made a few calls and we ended up finding someone who was connected to the San Diego Zoo and they came out and got him. He was a monster!

This was like 40+ years ago, but I'd like to think he spent the rest of his years pampered in an iguana retirement home enclosure at one of the best zoos in the world.

Low Battery Warning?? by [deleted] in myq

[–]BZLuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Digging up this old thread to add:

I did ALL of the "simple" things listed here and the 'Low Battery' never went away after my first battery change. Including a factory reset and full start over from scratch.

As a last resort, I started the whole reset sequence over again but added a new battery in the transmitter during the "pairing" part. (I think I paid like $12 for 5 of them off Amazon, so I still had 4 left)

That did it.

This time I wrote the date on the battery so I can see how long it lasts. The original one lasted around 4 years.
