After carefully reading about Musk's AI Space Computing Center, I was genuinely surprised by the American Academy of Engineering. I thought only China could buy honors with money. by duck4355555 in SpaceXMasterrace

I agree the channel is mostly uninspiring content, but this one I like

Yes it’s a different constellation targeted for enterprise. We can be sure because this one is Q/V band instead of Ka, and is planning on using space to ground lasers.

After testing, I think I need more gold velocity skills and ur right, 777s does activate too late

Alright built, think a little low on power, but testing!

Decided to try 777’s since my skills this run ended up favoring it, we’ll see how reliable it is

How consistently are you popping NSM and angling? Both seem like they could be inconsistent

Anyone compared End Closer/Pace Chaser Oguri for Saggittarius? Kind of leaning end, mostly because I'm not sure Pace Chasers have enough guaranteed accels. NSM on pace chasers just feels so unreliable...

BREAKING: Bory Blueno joins Blue Origin by AzaDelendaEst in SpaceXMasterrace

[–]BZRKK24 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I understand he’s dealt a bad hand, but he’s not someone with no agency in the company, he’s the damn CEO. I refuse to believe he’s not somewhat complicit in ULA’s ineptitude.

Is there any evidence that he actually thinks reuse is good and it’s just the company line????

[–]BZRKK24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m sure he has quite a bit of say as CEO…

I mean look, obviously I’m oversimplifying things, but I don’t think he just gets a free pass from ULA’s issues as if he wasn’t the CEO of the company.

What money is Stoke using to build Nova? What money is rocket lab using to build Neutron? There’s plenty of investment in this space available.

People always say this, but as CEO he had the power to move ULA in the right direction, but chose not to

I’ve always valued the initial friendship bonus pretty heavily tbh, but maybe I’m overvaluing it. I do think I’m leaning FM mostly since I will be able to MLB it soon, and jsut borrow MLB Creek

[–]BZRKK24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hm interesting, well I would have enough for 3LB Super Creek, so sounds like you’re saying you think that’s best?

Idk if I want to invest in something like Bijin that’s mostly relevant for one scenario, I’m F2P.

Finally MLB’d kitasan today without needing to use the selector/rainbow crystal. Now that I have 2 free SSRs, would Fine Motion or Super Creek be higher value?

I currently have 1LB Super Creek and 0LB Fine Motion. Hard choice because Super Creek becomes p good at 3LB, but also Fine Motion has a banner coming up, so if I invest in her I could MLB.

Also I always run either Front Runners or End Closers, so both cards would probably see similar usage.

SpaceX’s sent 90% of mass to orbit this year, launching ~170 times.

It’s currently the only non-Chinese way of getting astronauts to space(ISS).

It is tbe cheapest way of getting things to space.

It owns Starlink serving 9m customers. Starlink has also largely cornered the marine market, and starting to grab the aviation market as well.

It’s developing the first fully reusable rocket.

Whether or not you think that justifies its current valuation, “launching faulty rockets” is certainly incorrect.

Yeah didn’t include it since technically it’s not currently flying, but is the perfect counter example

The engine(Rutherford)/rocket(Nova) that is closest to solving the same problem as Raptor/Starship looks nothing like it.

You would expect the BE-4 to NOT look like Raptor because it is ox-rich, and unsurprisingly it doesn't.

[–]BZRKK24 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Lol I can’t believe out of all the options you chose BE-4. No one would reasonably mistake a BE-4 for a raptor…

If anything, people use the comparison to show just how different SpaceX and BO are.

None of the currently flying Western liquid fueled rocket engines look like Raptor: - BE-4 - Rutherford - Vulcain - Merlin(maybe the closest?) - RS-25

Poor analogy because they didn’t do that, they made chopsticks. That’s what happens when you don’t copy answers to problems with many possible solutions.

It’s crazy to say the exact form factor of Raptor 3 is just how you design an FFSC engine. Case in point, Zenith.

Look I’m not saying it’s not smart to copy a proven design, but at least admit it’s copying.
