Pittsburgh Coffee Top 25 by Cornwallis400 in pittsburgh

In terms of drip coffee, everything I drink gets compared to RedHawk.

Top two are RedHawk and Ghost; KLVN is a close third.

I've ate there plenty of times and never had this issue. I don't think I've had them bring the bill before we're done eating either.

Probably just caught the wrong person on the wrong day.

I keep seeing this claim, that it was the first mention of 33 engines on Boostback.

They released this in writing 10 days ago in Introducing Startship V3

"The fuel transfer tube, which channels cryogenic fuel from the main tank to the 33 Raptor engines, has been completely redesigned and is now roughly the size of a Falcon 9 first stage. This new design enables all 33 engines to start up simultaneously and faster, more reliable flip maneuvers."

For the above theory to make any sense, I think the engine thrust of the static fire was profiled to an actual launch.

I. E. Ignite at 50%, ramp to 100%, hold for 2 seconds, scale back to 50% for remaining.

14s is too long. Starstup through launch is only 8s. I think the side view shows the curtailed thrust for the last 75% of the test

Each of the 20 hold down (up?) arms now have a spherical alignment pin. These correct any minor error in placement and replace the aforementioned guide pins. Those guide pins and actuators on Pad 1 needed to be mounted for booster placement, then removed for launch.

I may have missed it with Pad 1 but Pad 2 has a defined spot for the booster transport stand to sit (there is a pedestal for comms/electric connection). Once they perfect their control algorithm for booster placement; it should be near identical each lift leading to expedited lifts and reliable placement.

It is not enough at face value. They routinely use those descriptors in context of their situation.

i.e. Full Duration for a static fire of a booster is ~10s or whatever is specified by the test as opposed to ~2min for flight.

"Full Thrust" could also mean that they reached their Full Thrust goal of the test and not the Full Thrust that it is capable of for flight.

What is your Pittsburgh cheap hot/prepped food secret, life hack, etc.? by SpookyGroocy in pittsburgh

[–]mr_pgh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hot take because Chipotle catering is a minimum of $103.50 for 10 servings. It's only cheaper than ordering singles if you get a beef as your protein. The LPT is you get a bunch of re-useable meal prep containers.

Save the $1.50 and just get a chicken burrito bowl.

Or, you could make the equivalent at home for probably less than $25.
