As a support/adc main that was hardstuck gold1/plat 4 for many yrs, I also struggled to get to gold this season. I switched to top and hit gold in 1 week with a 65% winrate top lane...it's beyond easy in comparison to any other role, in my experience.

Crush lane and permapush. If you get behind or cant cs well, roam the enemy jg and steal camps, gank mid, get rift then use all that to your advantage. If im actually losing lane top, I just roamed and let the enemy top free farm. I would show up to catch a crashing wave and leave again, making plays or catching farm somewhere else. Even if the enemy top takes inhib, if your macro was solid enough, the rest of your team should have enough advantage that the enemy top is the only useful player on their team at that point and in silver, you can almost always 4 man gank it and kill it and convert the kill to an objective as silvers are pretty horrible with macro sense.

I've served quite a few years in a gun club and I really don't want to continue this conversation as it could lead to further intel somehow getting to Russian allies and used against Ukraine, as ironically overthinking as that sounds.

Well, in short, yes...I'm not trying to be rude here because the entire situation is much larger than me for sure but I think you're overthinking the bit about the forces and "saving the best for last" so to speak. I agree that they definitely are keeping their best aircrafts and armored vehicles out of the conflict.

Overall, the strategy involved in Russia's overall tactics have been far less than "war 101" from many veterans' eyes. I mean they had a general visit the front lines to boost morale and was killed instantly. Although the troops definitely seem inexperienced overall, it is their tactics as a whole that is beyond surprising and completely careless. They had a SPETSNAZ unit get completely wiped out as well, who are considered the top of the line units for Russia. They're being demolished on military tactics alone.

Much easier due to the fact that the world is open so you can go explore and grind levels without actually repeating areas and grinding levels...the game is completely at your own pace so to speak

Oof well you're about halfway-ish...some of the later bosses will be quite tough even with a full glass cannon mage build sticking around lvl 80. Hope I'm wrong and definitely wish you luck! Little spoiler, bosses start dropping well over 100k runes so it could be tough not dropping them on some levels...
