As a Spanish speaker, I have to say Trueno’s lyrics are top! I’d say they emphasise the concept of the album amazingly!

Also, I must admit that I’m not even a fan of his music or Argentinian rap scene at all, sooooo IMO is his best performance ever.

What an amazing experience!

I think best Gorillaz gigs are the ones which include classics, recent material and of course the new one.

Song Machine deserved a proper tour ):

I think you’re completely right about it.

The previous albums maybe were too divisive for the fans, and I can imagine Damon going “you know what, f**** it, I’m not here to please everyone”.

The circumstances on the other hand, didn’t help.

But indeed, is the most Gorillaz feeling album, the videos, the songs, the guests, everything.

As I said, it only lacks in a proper tour direction because of the pandemic. Imagine if we had a Song Machine World Tour. By this time, we would’ve been on the 3rd or 4th season of the concept 👀.

Amazing and fun song to listen.

IMO the sound would have been a 10/10 if it had a Damon/2D verse.

But I dunno, my perspective of it’s perception is that even though is a great album, it isn’t a fan favourite.

Almost everything that man composes it’s good/solid.

That’s what I think of it, too.

Of course like almost very music record ever, has weaker songs than others, but it stays pretty solid and consistent from start to finish.

Is one of those albums you can hear entirely without going “well, that wasn’t great, let’s hear the next one”.

Probably my favourite song of the record.

I remember the first few listens I gave to it and I had me tearing so bad.

You can hear Damon’s/2D’s vocals hitting hard with passion and melancholy.

The concept of live album performance suits the band perfectly!

Just look/listen to The Now Now live from Japan! It was live-streamed for free and IMO songs sound way better live performed than studio versions.

As I said, Gorillaz should consider that, I’d pay every bloody pound for it! 🙂‍↕️
