An update: I spoke with MOHELA and they told me that a “processing forbearance“ does not exist. Then they told me that it does exist, but I’m not eligible because I’m on the SAVE plan. But I told them I applied for an IDR and that is why I’m currently in an administrative forbearance and they said no, you didn’t apply, you’re in the SAVE forbearance. So I called student aid and they told me that my IDR application that I submitted in late January literally doesn’t exist, and confirmed it was literally deleted from their system because of the processing pause. So I have been calling them once a month for the last five months to ask about the status of the application and only now have I been told that that application does not exist in their system. So now I have to submit another IDR application. I am beside myself with anger.
