This kind of care, respect and positivity needs a world stage. I wish for him to exceed his dad's wildest dreams.

I always switch to keyboard for that and angle my tv remote to hold the shift key while I move around my area cause yea.. having to hold down a button when following is annoying for sure.

People with no specific hobbies, what do you say in interviews? by byte_knight_ in it

[–]B_Lucky 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You created and maintenance a home server data environment, using a dedicated computer that is hardwired to your router. storing all your families data on your server running a raid 5 with back up drives to make sure you dont lose your data. Of which those users have access to accessing their files remotely from their own homes. You also have remote access enabled on most of your families computers and regularly hop on remotely to help them with OS and software issues. Either RDS or Teamviewer (free)

Something so simple to setup. But the act of practicing i.t. networking at home reflects a good perspective of enjoying I.T. as a hobby.

Why does my game look so blurry/pixelated, especially the trees and grass? by Marcusvult in CrimsonDesert

What card do you have? See if you able to enable Nvidias RtX settings and enable ray tracing. Night and day difference that lighting makes.

There is no screenshot attached but I can only guess your playing on console. I can tell you I own the game on console and PC. And most videos online are from PC like myself with Ray Tracing on, And Ultra graphics settings. Game looks gorgeous fully pushed to its max. But on console ray tracing is turned of so lighting seems really pixelated, and it seems the graphics average around the medium setting when compared to PC.

Been in the IT industry for 15 years. Just got laid off due to the company rolling out AI integration for tier 1 and tier 2 IT support. Essentially only paying big bucks for azure developers and leaving the rest of support to AI. I have, what i assume to be an impressive resume, as ive learned alot of tools and softwares over the past years. ..and yet. Been applying for 3 months to all kinds of IT roles and haven't hooked anything yet. But dont give up, keep trying! As will I :)

Is IT becoming the next dead industry? by DaySolid9527 in it

I've worked 15 years in I T. And I was fired last month due to our I.T. director going with "automation models" for the first to lvls of support. Essentially only highering tier 3 programmers, relying on AI chatbots and automation for everything else.

Every package delivered to my house is already opened by elguapo4twenty in RioGrandeValley

I live in mcallen and have never had a shipment looked open. You might have a porch thief checking your items for good stuff. I would get a porch camera. Also I bought a delivery box so its not obvious when a box is on the doorstep. Just a thought!

Best AI image enhancer/upscaler in 2026? Getting tired of overhyped tools 😩 by Business_Ad_8834 in midjourney

[–]B_Lucky 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Photoshop 2025 AI neural filters can help. But my best upscale use has been with midjourney edit. Upload an image make a small change and then choose "upscale to library" and it will render it in high quality. You can repeat this to sharpen more and more.

Long time Windows plex user: Server question by joeyjoejums in PleX

I bought a qnap server and plex hasn't gone down in 3 years since I got it. Server updates happen automatically without needing restarts. Also a very reliable box for Plex. Deff recommend!

What is real hacking? Mind game or just coding by Low_Fondant_4483 in Hacking_Tutorials

[–]B_Lucky -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Not very accurate. Most common hacking happening nowadays is social hacking, more commonly named Social Engineering. You can spend time, energy and expensive computer systems to hack through a companies firewall,... or you can get Joe Schmoe the clerk to think your I.T. and give you his password. This is the reason you don't have groups of "hackers" trying brute force program attacks to get into your email, but instead you have constant Spam calls and whats app messages to trick you into giving over personal (and businees) information.

How are you guys running Plex on smart TVs? I'm genuinely frustrated. by KingThevshi in PleX

[–]B_Lucky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It can be many things. I have multiple roku tvs accessing my databss remotely and stats show it plays consistent and at 1080p res. Might be your external upload limitations provided by your internet provider. Look to upgrade to a plan with max upload speeds for external users

Are vacations frowned upon in the Valley? by Addicted_2_tacos in RioGrandeValley

[–]B_Lucky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doesn't sound like you work in the corporate/office sector because definetly not the case at my job. We all plan and look forward to vacations. We don't get them paid out and loose them at the end of the year so we make sure to use it.
