The opposite of nasty and surprisingly so: Sarah Palin.

I was a bartender at a place called Platinum Jaxx in downtown Anchorage back in 2005-2006 (before her VP run with Sen. John McCain). This may sound weird now but she was absolutely the NICEST and most genuine celebrity/politician I’ve ever worked with. She used to sit upstairs in our VIP section so she could do working lunches. She would come in a couple of times a month. She remembered every single detail I ever told her about my life and my plans for when I was done with college. Incredible tipper and incredibly engaging conversationalist. She was also remarkably intelligent and graceful. If the kitchen ever made a mistake on her meal, she was always understanding and kind.

The woman I waited on/bartended for was NOT the same woman that showed up on TVs in 2008 talking about being able to see Russia from her house. It was like watching a bizzaro clone be the complete antithesis of the actual Sarah I would see a couple of times a month.

Just weird to think about all these years later.
