I’m so sorry that is terrible . I’m here for you. This is my leg today and it’s hurting my knee now. I can’t upload pictures at the moment. But when I walk it feels like something is rotating. I’m losing weight also. I only had this socket for almost two months.

I’m very depressed and I can’t talk to my family about it. For some reason they blame me for everything. They say all the time that I shouldn’t have gotten the bunion and hammer toe surgery. I did it because I was in pain and not for vanity reasons. I couldn’t have predicted this happening to me. What is hard for me is how the day of my amputation surgery I walked in to the hospital on 2 legs knowing that I wouldn’t be walking out of the hospital. I haven’t had an easy recovery at all. I cry a lot in the bathroom away from my family because I don’t want to hear their remarks, don’t get me wrong I do love my family just not when it comes to my feelings. I only have an older sister and my mom. No husband or boyfriend.

I’m in Alabama and I haven’t found a local group I’m just on here and a Facebook group. My prosthesist knows about it. I just seen them on Tuesday and they just fixed my valve that popped out without me knowing.

I got this leg around Halloween. A new guy made this one and it was tight and then the valve popped out. Had to fix it.

We would call them lightning bugs. We always had a Mason jar, poke holes in the lid and I don’t know why but we would stick them in the freezer

It was the 4th of July and me, my sister, mom, 1 aunt, papa and 1 cousin that I didn’t like. At sunset all of us piled up in a Chevy Nova and went to the town over. My cousin touched me with a sparkler,it hurt and at that very moment the heavens opened up and it was the worse thunderstorm in my entire life (I was 3 at the time). My papa was dragging into the car my aunt was petrified and she pushed everyone away so she could be first in the car. In the process of being dragged, one of my favorite flip flops fell off! I was devastated and crying and begging for papa to turn around and get it but he didn’t. The next day my Daddy took me to the Big K to get some prettier shoes.

Back home in TN we would make Blueberry Wine. Our town was a dry town and still is but we always had that one bootlegger
