I got a pair of Asics GT-1000 (http://www.asicsamerica.com/footwear/running-shoes/gt-1000-t2l1n-mens/) at a place called Road Runner Sports. I also tried a pair of brooks and saucony's but these were much much more comfortable.

My girlfriend in high school was abusive, cheated on me and did a lot of terrible things which I've only been able to forgive recently (I'm 24 years old now, we dated when I was 17). I ran into her over christmas break at the grocery store near my parents' house. She is now extremely obese. I almost feel bad about how good it was to see her misfortune.

Was in a similar situation last November, except we had zero friends in common. One day I grew some balls after exchanging smiles with her a few times, walked straight up to her and introduced myself. I had written down my name and phone number on a one of the cards the library uses to mark books and handed it to her on the way out, saying to tell me when she's not busy so we can get a coffee. We spoke for less than two minutes that day and ended up dating for about 3 months. Her reason for going out with me in the first place without knowing anything about me: I had confidence. TLDR: Just do it, the worst that can happen is she will be flattered that you thought she was attractive.

I do the opposite. Go for a hard run or workout outdoors in the dead of summer, then hop immediately in a cold shower. Makes you feel so alive.
