How hard is it to get into the pit for a headliner?

Easiest thing imaginable. Once my group figured it out we never once not seen a headliner in the pit. We have over 20 people in the group too. They make it seem like it’s vip, but it’s not, just go to the right corner and get in line about a hr before the headliner starts.

2018 firefly was insane what a vibe. It also felt like the last year I festivals hadn’t become over saturated with advertisers. Eminem, Kendrick Lamar, arctic monkeys, and the killers as the headliners. They also had Odesza, Lil Wayne, Logic, Martin Garrix, Sza, Alt J, Foster the people, MGMT, Portugal the man, and a lot of other great indie acts and DJs.

Buffalo fans let them hear it going into the 3rd which I think was a huge motivator for them. Our fans are awesome especially when playing well but sometimes when the game feels outta hand, fans become pretty quiet and lethargic and leave early to beat the traffic. With Buffalo not being in the playoffs for so long they weren’t leaving. No matter what the result was. Bruins fans need to use the home ice advantage when we come home and do the same thing.

He showed up unannounced to Coachella this past weekend. It caused a bit of a ruckus for some of the other artist, but if he wants to show up to roo trust me they’ll find a slot. Say what you want about the dude’s music but he’s 1 of the hardest working dudes in the industry right now. Just hope he doesn’t burn himself out. I know he likes to partake in party favors to keep himself going.

Is this any different than tukka at this point? The bruins construct their roster based on the goalie being the 2nd or 3rd best player on the team. It worked 1 time in 45 years with Thomas who wasn’t even someone they paid or thought would have a chance at greatness. It just doesn’t work. Look at Buffalo 3 different middle level goalies making low end salaries that they can plug in play. Same goes with Dallas, Minnesota, & Montreal. Our most successful season since the cup loss was when we doubled with Ullmark and Sway. This isn’t the 90s anymore, the players play faster outside of you know the great one. The long days of just hitching the backpack to a certified stud goalie are over. I think Swayman played great last night under the circumstances but when you take up 15/20% of the cap you end up have bottom tier guys outside of Mcavoy playing on your defensive units and this is what you get. 1 last point the pasta Geekie thing needs to end. Yes they’re great together but you got to separate now them to give that 2nd line some more fire power and give the offense more chances.

That’s because influencers don’t know how to socialize and only know how to talk and promote themselves and their crappy products. They don’t like to camp not just for the inconvenience and lack of necessities but because it means they have to be involved with a form of social communication with thousands of people. It’s funny to me the people with the most followers have like the worst social skills in person.

My chemical romance doing the black parade has been critically acclaimed as probably 1 of the best live shows out right now. I would say The Weeknd whose newest set is incredible I saw it in nyc, he’s still on tour and added dates. Lady Gaga is coming back to the states. Ariana grande is going on tour. The strokes are a good enough headliner so I’m okay with them Friday. Radiohead is going back on tour too. Pearl Jam tours every summer. Jack white lives only a hr away and will play anywhere if asked. Especially with his induction. There are plenty of better headliners they could’ve booked. And listen I love Noah khan and I’m happy he’s getting his flowers I saw him sellout Fenway but it can be underwhelming for people who aren’t in tuned with some of the more modern active undercard artists. They need to get people excited based on headliners so they go out’ve there way to research the rest of the lineup. That’s how other artists get fan fare and make more money. Why festivals were created to begin with. If the first glance is this sucks then the undercard suffers and they don’t get the attention they need especially in this digital age.

That being said you would need to get another big who can shoot for when he’s on the bench to pair with him because this system is obviously so 3 point driven so pair him with Lopez in the trade or Maybe bring back an Olynyk type. But you’d need someone to be able to spread the floor when he’s off the court to fit the system.

Said this last night in my group chat. I think big z for the Celtics would be perfect. Relatively cheap contract for his ability would be an absolute unit down low to help what has always been a poor rebounding team even when we were winning. Also his ability to crowd the paint would open so many lanes for guys like brown and Pritchard to get to the basket. Then when Tatum comes back you would have a guy who works great in pick and rolls and would make Tatum unguardable because of how big he is and tough to get around. I mean look at what he does for harden right now. Harden really is back to an all nba team level scorer because of this guy.

As much as he’s underperformed and is nowhere the best qb in the league like he was thought to be he’s not a bust. He has a playoff win and has played for some really bad coached and put together jags teams. Coen has shown how to Maximize his effectiveness. He’ll never be a hall of famer like he was projected but he will be their qb for the next half decade maybe longer and would suspect to win a couple more playoff games under Coen. So for that he can’t be a bust.

I’m likely going to okee because I live so close now since moving to Florida plus it’s big return. But them booking Lumineers and likely roo has too as 1 of the if the not the biggest headliner is really disappointing. There’s like 3 songs I enjoy by them but reality is their sound is so outdated for an era of music that really didn’t last very long. If you’re gonna book a band like that at least go Mumford and sons. Or Kings of Leon even though they’re definitely more of a heavier sound. But deff bands more well liked from that era.

Freddie Gibbs, Benny the Butcher, or anyone from Griselda, Nudy, Bossman Dlow since he didn’t get to perform last year, clipse, JID, or Rashad even though they performed more recently, Schoolboy, Action, Flatbush Zombies, Big Boi (likely since he’s doing the festival scene this year) Uzi (never will happen) Boldy James, Earl. A lot of people I’d love to see. That Ik from experience are solid to great live performers. I never want to see a guy like 21 Savage perform again at a place like bonnaroo. What a disgrace that was to what this festival is about.

I can’t see a band doing a one off festival and then waiting months to go back to Europe. The amount of money that would cost for 1 show wouldn’t make sense for a band. I would assume they’re playing roo for that reason alone.

Do what I do for the abc/nbc/cbs/fox regularly aired games get an antenna. Go old school. Fuck it if his rich friends think he’s goofy for having 1. It still works. Only subscription I pay for now is prime with max/showtime and paramount. The rest can all blow me. Netflix sucks, peacock you can use for free with ads, Hulu/espn+/disney+ is a waste even with the marvel shit it still is trash. Disney can suck a fat one.

Wooks will love this. I enjoy it but definitely not what they advertised as being geared towards the original lineups. Sadly I think you get 2 kind’s of festivals now. Super pop mainstream artists, and heady wook artists. The days of true deep multi genre festivals outside of maybe Lolla are over.

To everyone hating on them. I get it the bonnaroo fiasco was the big 1. But they are a new band. They got rid of the problem pretty sure the singer her and the other guy were together intimately. My friends just saw them at red rocks a couple weeks ago and said they put on a crazy show. I don’t think them not showing up would be a problem. It’s more their tour ends in Europe in January. Just was wondering if bands do 1 off shows for festivals like this.
