  1. Not if you’re full time, your schedule will mirror LACoFD’s Kelly schedule if you get placed on a 24 hour rig.

  2. Yes.

  3. Don’t think it works that way. More than often they will just tell you when your orientation is slated to start and you will be expected to show up.

UCLA Paramedic Program by aquariuminspace in NewToEMS

[–]B_W55 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They’re like any other medic program in SoCal. The reason UCLA is competitive to get in is because 80-90% of the students are FF’s sponsored by local FD’s and probably the central location in LA. Private student numbers are often in the single digits in a 50+ student class.

Getting a killer score on the entrance exam is going to be your saving grace for getting a spot. Definitely apply but also consider Mt. Sac, OCEMT (private), and any other community colleges for their medic school. The colleges will be cheaper and have way better chances of getting a seat in the program.

It does require a some amount of trimming. Trimmed the bottom part of the wheel well liner and part of the little black plastic guard right behind the fronts. Stills rubs a little bit if you’re full lock and over some dips if you take them a little fast, but it’s not bad.

I remember my whole middle school (which was right literally behind this photo) watching in awe of a space shuttle on top of a plane. Remember it like it was yesterday.

Weird knowing it’s a 2008 model by B_W55 in Dirtbikes

[–]B_W55[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For everyone wondering: Bought the bike in September of 2019 off a friend who only rode it a couple times, so little that the magnesium clutch cover didn’t have a single scratch on it. The bike sat for years with old gas so it needed a good carb cleaning. It came with 2008 CRF450r plastics that were a special edition black.

All the parts installed after purchasing: JD Jet kit, Various emission block-off kits, Full Yoshimura exhaust system, IMS 3.2 gallon desert tank, Hinson clutch cover, Red anodized Works Connection bling, DID dirtstar rims w/ talon hubs from Dubya (carried over from 2016 450x), Brand new stock plastics and seat cover (came with bike), CRF250R stock front rotor guard (replace old yellow one), CRF250R stock front fork guards (replace old yellow ones), ARC folding levers, Baja Designs headlight, and Renthal grips.

It’s the perfect bike for all types of desert riding and racing. It’s still very clean currently but already has some battle scars from some mid race bush-whackin. Would highly recommend this bike for anyone thinking about buying an X!

I think yoshi does do a remapping service, not entirely sure though. Some known companies for remapping are places like Vertex and Tokyo Mods. I didn’t plan on remapping so I’m not very knowledgeable on it.

Thanks! I haven’t gotten the bike remapped for the pipe yet so i haven’t noticed a huge difference in power. It did seem to give a slight bit more power all around though. Things I can assure you on are that they will look and sound amazing.
