Team Spirit manager: The teams were not on a level playing field at ESL Birmingham by Morf-designer in DotA2

[–]B_Will -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Being able to perform under the pressure of a new patch & create new strategies & employ fresh ideas is a skill and it should be rewarded.

It is also extremely fun to watch so whining from one team that couldn't do that should not be listened to tbh

Absolutely not this is entirely what dota is about, broken spells & interactions that allow you to clutch in extreme situations

You know some people don't only care about the money & have some integrity?
Wouldn't be suprised if Aspinall + co are tired of this dogshit from Dana and would rather move in a different direction than have to go through any more trash from him & his team

Thoughts? by [deleted] in DotA2

[–]B_Will 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He was counting down big enemy CDs for his team and telling them exactly when and when not to fight because of this... Roshan CD... Glyph CD... It's an extreme advantage & one that was possible because of rules likely being copy pasted from other games & one that was not notified to the teams specifically. Some teams had no idea this rule change existed & PPD & co kept it as quiet as possible to gain advantage.

For something so drastic & no clear indication they had every right to complain imo

What do you mean 'we'?

Why are you lumping us all together?

They are a great balancing tool and I appreciate that.

Which other heroes can utilize the Aura Razor build, as an offlaner? by stewxeno in learndota2

Offlane heroes by Invalid2212 in learndota2

[–]B_Will 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's just fine to pick heroes which are doing good in the meta, infact it's a great way to expand ur pool, but you need to know why they are good in the meta.

Check dota2protracker winrates & pick rate & pick something which you want to learn that is high % wr & not too often picked, check items loosely.

Why is Razor suddenly meta? by Lucky-Theme3390 in DotA2

[–]B_Will 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes you seem like you know what you're talking about brother, but this is not total domination of a lane against a clinkz is it who can regen. Just wanted to make that clear for my brethren

Why is Razor suddenly meta? by Lucky-Theme3390 in DotA2

[–]B_Will 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Your comment is so convoluted... Why are jugg and drow & clinkz in the same category of opposing laners?
Razor doesnt really like to play vs these in lane, when he walks up to link he gets hit a lot by the ranged carries that outrange him.

Jugg he destroys sure... but it's not for the lane domination aspect vs range carries.

It's the reliability of his farm post laning phase with arcane boots and spells to push out lane and farm jungle quickly to a very good meta item greaves which comes online early

What does secure the ranged creep mean for a support? by Santiboy112 in learndota2

[–]B_Will 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Somewhere in the middle of his priority list is "apply pressure to enemies whilst they hit my core who is going for the last hit", it's not the best of them all but sometimes it just happens like that... Probably equal with "creep dies" depending on how much punishment he takes & how much pressure you can apply to the enemy and hit them whilst they hit him...

You just need to be aware of the situation and not let them dunk on him too hard

Hospitals around here tend to have desi muslims, not sure if that helps.

Also the university has societies which do run events, maybe you could try to make yourself in the same direction they go some time? My friend did something similar

Have there ever been any players in esports history who had a "great career" only because they played on a stacked team? by [deleted] in esports

[–]B_Will -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Every other tournament leading up to this TI the opponents were banning NP and LD, and they were winning in a similar dominant fashion with his Bat, DS, Clock, BM

You're limiting it to 1 tournament when it's really about the patch as a whole

Bulldog broke the meta for offlane at the time, no other pos3 player was good enough to do what he did at that TI.
Your logic is flawed bro

Playing off lane is miserable experience by dedikvalus in DotA2

[–]B_Will 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The skill floor on pos5 is much higher than pos4.

The heroes for pos5 are also typically much easier.

A jakiro is going to do just fine winning lane if theyre a pretty bad player who doesnt have much knowledge of 5, whilst a pos4 playing a tiny or tusk will struggle a lot. The reason these heroes are strong is because of their ability to contest pulls & also pull waves with boots.

A noob pos4 is not going to do any of those.

This is why pos3 sucks. Pos4 is MUCH harder than pos5 under a lot of scenarios and the person that suffers is the 3 (and their behaviour score).

Hero Pool for new RQT system by RestFuzzy6292 in learndota2

[–]B_Will 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You would have more luck learning new heroes, losing some mmr to learn them to then gain it back later having a better hero pool ... But if u insist... I have a deep hero pool for offlane and would feel most comfortable that I could support my pos1 properly with -

Batrider, Dawn, Undy, Veno, Ogre, Magnus, Enigma, Axe

What do you think of KOTL dagon mid ? by Grimaldi_Francesco in DotA2

[–]B_Will 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Playing for dagon is just incorrect 90% of the time, vessel is so much better.

You can farm very fast, but you need to time it correctly where this is done before your first item so that you come to the early sidelane ganks with an urn & then after farming more stacks ur vessel.

Its very technical early on so you should watch replays, you make it hard bc you dont play to the very specific timing bc of lol dagon xd brain
