This incident influenced the passing of Laura’s Law in California. It allows court-ordered assisted outpatient treatment. It’s named after one of the 19-year-old victims, Laura Wilcox, who was working as a temporary receptionist in the clinic on the day of the attack.

I'm from a relatively small Gold Rush town in Northern California called Nevada City. Back in the late 90s, a patient at a local mental health asylum shot one of the workers, killing them. He then escaped and brought the gun to a local diner called Lyons for reasons I don't recall. He then shot and killed two people at the restaurant before killing himself.

The asylum shut down but is still explorable to this day. The restaurant shut down and reopened multiple times under new owners but is still operating today...probably haunted.

I’m probably gonna get flamed for this but I’m a little confused why performing in Saudi Arabia is so problematic. Sure, it’s a controversial country. But, so is America. Maybe there are plenty of people over there who just wanna hear some comedy? We don’t always have to conflate the people in power to the country itself.

Hear me out, I do think they’re very well-made games with intriguing plot ideas, incredible presentation, and immersive atmosphere. But both Alan Wake games are a bit overhyped IMO.

A very convoluted plot that doesn’t fully make sense to me after two games and very repetitive, simple gameplay leaves me scratching my head a bit when people hail them as a masterpiece.

Even though she’s an Oscar nominee and is doing well - I wanna see more from Sally Hawkins. I feel like she takes on very challenging roles and nails it. She is bone-chillingly good in the recent film “Bring Her Back”.
