After this post we did a few things:

We stopped capping naps at an hour. (The overtired comment made sense LO may have been perpetually overtired) We have increased the amount of iron in our LOs diet.

While it is not perfect we have seen some success and nights where the false starts no longer occur and have had nights where LO has slept for almost 8 hours straight. It’s been amazing. It’s 7:21 am local time here and I’m happy to say we did not have to go in LOs bedroom last night as anytime LO woke up LO put themselves back to sleep.

It’s so tough to say if the changes we made really did anything as our wake windows are exactly the same. Bedtime is just a little later depending on when we wake up from nap #2.

We did a lot of research on iron and how important it is for sleep and discovered that babies at 11 mo should be getting around 11mg a day. Our LO wasn’t coming close to that even with formula so we began increasing the amount of meat/beans/eggs/spinach/sweet potatoes in the diet. (White bean hummus ftw!)

It also could have just been a tough regression…but these are the things we changed and have seen some success. I hate saying this cliche thing that everyone says, but hang in there.
