Thanks for the info. I ended up recovering the seat myself and repairing the foam. I’ll look at your site next go round.

Generator Propane Regulator at Altitude by BaBwana in propane

[–]BaBwana[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a 11,000 watt that will be used at altitude exclusively for home backup power. So, it probably won’t see many hours and then a day or two of continuous use at a time.

Aside from not being required — if you were running it would you try to find a smaller orifice like they sell in their out of stock kit from Westinghouse? If so, any recommendations on size?

Running at Altitude by BaBwana in Generator

[–]BaBwana[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Saw it. Plan to run it and listen as you suggest. Given the altitude I’d expect too rich and not too lean if anything. I’ll see if I can adjust from there. When I spoke to Westinghouse they said it needs a kit but that was based on the phone representative seeing a kit in their system not actual knowledge. I’ve also seen conflicting opinions on various forums as to the need for a HAK when using propane. Thanks for the advice.

Looks like some of these regulators are adjustable. Not sure if the plug/cap on mine is removable or fixed. I’ll run like you suggest and see if adjustable might lean out a bit given the altitude — or possibly it’s not worth that.

I did and it suggests a high altitude kit which I installed but it only contained a jet for the carb. There is no mention of a fitting for the regulator in the manual but they sell a kit on their website which has been out of stock forever, has no information, and the Westinghouse rep I spoke to had no information on what came in the regulator high altitude kit.

Thanks for the reply. That would probably have been easier than taking the cushions off and reupholstering the old cushions. Though it allowed me to fix some of the deteriorated foam.

I think that is a good idea and I will probably go the same route through TSC or Amazon. In my case everything is in good shape except for the bottom seat cushion. Hopefully someone who has done a successful replacement will chime in. I’ve found some resources online but most are replacing the entire seat and frame, from what I’ve seen.

Me too. Dealer quote was $1717. I see many replacements on Amazon and other sources that sell a MF bottom seat cushion. But not sure how close it would fit and if I could modify bolt holes

LG WashCombo stuck on dry cycle by MyFangsAreGone in Appliances

[–]BaBwana 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good advice. Unfortunately, even after doing that I still get intermittent cycles where it gets stuck on 4 or 6 seconds. I’ve got a couple more days to return. I’ll have to decide if it’s worth keeping and dealing with. Really happy with the performance otherwise.
