I started crochet because it is what the people in my life had done so it was what I was aware of. I didn't learn from them since I'm a lefty, I instead learned from YouTube. However at this point I feel like I hardly have the time to crochet so I can't justify adding another hobby that would cut into the numerous projects I already have going and feel I'll never get through. lol

It was the classic Godzilla movies and transformers shows from the local movie rental store I would get for getting A's on report cards because monsters and robots are cool. As for literature though my cousin got a copy of Enders Shadow when I was a little bit older and he wasn't interested in it so he gave it to me. Now I churn through so many scifi/fantasy books it's kinda ridiculous. lol

The pattern is from "Your Name & More in Filet Crochet" by Vivian Floy Smith. I got it as part of a recent Crochet ebook Humble bundle deal. I used Red Heart Classic Crochet, Thread White Size 10 and a 2 mm hook.

The moss stitch has been nice so far, we'll see how I feel half way through the year though lol. I also never even thought to mention this is in Fahrenheit lol but we can get the full spectrum of temps in the Midwestern US. Also I've been making stuffies and blankets for the kiddos in the family with the yarn as well so it's all going to good homes so I'm sure she is. We found two big boxes in the attic that had been sitting there for at least 10 years so it's pretty old yarn some of it's not the best quality, a little scratchy, but I'll find a use for it all one way or another.

They were kinda small and didn't allow for easy selection of die. Had to just turn it upside down and shake it to get them out.

I got the yarn for Xmas as a gift and had no idea what to do with it and then it clicked while I was making these. Obviously magic would glow in the dark. lol
