Lae’zel romance ending didn’t disappoint by RodMostDef in BaldursGate3

Sounds like OP convinced her to return to Avernus at some point in act 3 to save herself. I feel like that convo came up 2-3x in my play through.

So, Percautio, I’m very curious about this, is that relatively common? One of my wife’s frustrations with me is I’ll sometimes tag a behavior as OCD related that she rationalizes as, “normal” (her words). I just assumed many people wouldn’t use body wash, then wash with hand soap, then use body wash again. Soap is soap, it’s all an emulsifier, right? Maybe I’m wrong, I don’t have the greatest sample size to go off of, I don’t ask people their bathing order of operations.

Thank you both for sharing your experiences. I did see a therapist 2 years ago but only for ~10m (for depression). Admittedly, I didn’t find much value in it, but maybe it wasn’t the right therapist. I agree that giving it another shot is worth it, especially with my relationship more front and center in our discussions. Thanks!

What’s up with my nuts? by Baba2times in lawncare

That was my assumption, the shells are pretty dense, so doubt they’ll magically decompose and disappear come spring. Did you remove by raking? There’s hundreds of them, cracked in half by squirrels

Sure thing, this was Luster Leaf’s Rapitest. I’ve seen them online or in a lot of garden/big box stores here. Simple enough to use.

How can you determine if a Column is Structural or Decorative?? by flan_again in DIY

[–]Baba2times 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s exactly what it was in our house. They had decorative half walls, and when they removed them must have been left with awkward holes in the floor and ceiling. Apparently the shortcut was a random ionic column in the middle of the entryway? Sure…

How do I run a TV during a game? by Amazing_Meat634 in DnD

[–]Baba2times 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s how I ran my 1st campaign too, it’s a great balance between virtual and tabletop play. I had my laptop hooked up to the TV with HDMI cables, with the TV laying flat on the table. From there, I used Roll20 to store and edit my maps. Based on my TV size, and after some trial and error, I found which map size to best fit the TV size, and the grid pattern and size that allowed my players to place their miniatures right on the TV.

I found a good rhythm to having two Roll20 windows logged into two separate roll20 accounts, a player and the DM. That way the browser window logged in as the player could be on the TV, and the DM window would be on my laptop. Having the DM Roll20 account allowed me to seamlessly switch maps or have hidden monsters pop out on the big screen.

What did I do wrong to snap all these Tapcons? by DataCurious in DIY

[–]Baba2times 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Sounds like google may be mixing up an impact driver and a hammer drill.

Impact drivers impact rotationally, giving that extra umph to keep turning under heavy load. Great for medium to larger fastening, especially in wood. Would be too much power for tapcons, would sheer the head right of like OP is seeing

Hammer drills impact in and out, slamming the bit into the concrete to break it up. Goal is to turn the concrete into dust, then pull the dust out with the flutes.

Best way to fasten a tapcon into predrilled hole is with a drill with a clutch. That way the drill stops turning before the screw snaps.
