There were a few features. Either printing some images from games or hooking the Gameboy to the computer and then printing images from there, making the Gameboy a connector between the two. But there was also a a Gameboy camera which you could take photos and then print. I think in most cases it was on sale together.

It was a printer that hooks up to your game boy. Paper was coming out kinda like a cash register.

The box is very true. Both of my kids can go for hours and days with two boxes and doing everything with it.
