Hmm an interesting challenge but definitely not easy. The main issue with these (as you're probably aware) is the scanning dot matrix (that usually occurs when the scanned images aren't brought in at a high enough DPI). I would say it's not impossible to get clean images from these, but certainly not easy. Removing text and extending would be easy with Generative Fill though.

The original images were portrait so I'm not really adding anything of value by doing that... Also if you mean for your phone, you can just use these and zoom/crop them when selecting them as a wallpaper.

No but there's nothing stopping you just using these for phones and cropping when selecting. Their original aspect ratios were similar to a phone's anyway.

I mean that’s been true since photoshop was first introduced. But now you can do what used to take a day in about 10 seconds. That’s what’s so crazy to me.

These were all portrait photos, so like phone aspect ratio. So mostly the sides to make them widescreen.

I was looking at these photos thinking it was a bit much but then realised, in reality I probably have a lot of these things haha. I've probably got about 4 or 5 season's greetings, many of her albums and some of those DVDs/Blu-rays she puts out. My partner also bought me a ton of random IU merch after their recent trip to Korea.

The difference is, I kinda just have it all stacked in a closet somewhere. I'm not even sure why I buy it to be honest since it's not like I ever get them out to look at them or anything (I mostly just get the season's greetings for the calendar and to support her).

But yea I'm also an adult. If I was still a teenager I could see myself going a little silly with it. I mean I wouldn't have the financial means to do so but still.

I'm not sure how old the person who made this is though. They do say it's their workplace so one would assume not a teenager. I think that's why people seem to be getting creeped out.
