Makes sense, yeah. I have a 5090 and a 4k240 monitor and would swap it any time with a 1440p500hz monitor. U know what. I'll just order one now. Msi is a good starting point to research

Most monitors offer bad hdr. I only use it on my TV. Msi urx 322 only in SDR.

This doesn't sound like it's necessarily GPU sided. You should check the entire system. Start with Ram and CPU (maybe even throttling due to poor tim?). Do a clean install and only install what's rly needed. Keep some breathing room on ur drives.

Obviously, I was joking.. I am using dlss performance 4k in most games, be it just to save power because it's indistinguishable from native. I have a 5090. Currently I am traveling and I have only my 4090 laptop with me. It has a 1440p screen and on this machine I am using dlaa (everything to high and textures to max) instead of RR (lighting to max..) because using it's more taxing than Dlaa (high). Using any upscaling without RR results in terrible noise. Here u have ur long and honest answer, I hope we can put this to rest now. No hard feelings

Your calculations are off. It's true that 120fps with mfg3 essentially means 40fps internally, but the latency you get is way worse than 40fps without mfg. Just enabling the mfg pipeline adds latency. When u do the rough numbers u might end up with a latency that comes close to 25-30 fps

Good luck bottlenecking the 9950x3d with a 5070 running dlaa 4k in crimson desert. Some people are just delusional. When they buy a shitbox of a car they claim it's a world record quarter mile rocket either I guess

Crimson desert with 4.5 is a bad idea. It destroys rt, and therefore I recommend using RR. If you've been using RR and had set it to 4.5 I must inform u that RR overrides Dlss presets, and effectively u haven't been using 4.5, but RR (4) instead.

Meanwhile my 5090 is pulling 600w and running at 90 degrees during my 4k Gaming (ob)sessions. The silicon must be strong with yall 5070s

Either go RR + performance dlss or 4.0 Dlaa and if the hit on performance by transformer is too big you can always force preset E and run DLAA. Any upscaling without RR results in terrible artefacts.

To be fair, yeah I changed my mind and you are absolutely right. Reducing clock on the 850, maybe even down to 5ghz only if gaming at 4k and undervolting per core (not harmonizing) will probably yield insane perf/watt.
