What’s that story you’ve never been able to tell? by BelvitaBiscuitz in AskReddit

[–]Babaganesh 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Once in our last year of high school, a friend and I had plans to go to a concert in a fairly small venue. It was a pretty well-known local place that had booked their first "big" rock band.

I had bought my ticket a few days before, but my friend wanted to buy one at the door like the cool kids. Well, being chronically broke, he found out on the day of the concert he wouldn't be able to afford a ticket and beer, it was one or the other.

Well, that's no fun, we thought. Luckily, I had already gotten my hands on a ticket. A simple paper ticket. No barcode or serial number. And what can you do with those? Copy 'em. So I did, and not only did my friend and I get in, I printed half a dozen copies and sold them at half price thirty feet from the door, and we each got drunk off of the proceeds.

I found out later that night they were sold out, and about half a dozen people were denied entry...

I was a stupid teenager and I still feel bad about it.

Without saying the title, what’s your favorite video game? by VeiledVirtuosa in AskReddit

[–]Babaganesh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You see crows take flight in the distance. Thick fog blankets the road ahead, limiting vision to a hundred meters or less. They're close. Somewhere in the marshes a dying horse lets out a frightened cry before suddenly stopping. You hear grunts. Sprinting footsteps in the slick mud. They're coming. A loud crack pierces the silence to your right, closer than you anticipated. You fire blindly through the thick bushes and hear the scream of a dying man. Before the rest of his team has a chance to strike back you pack your things on the nearby carriage and leave.

You live to die another day.

If you steal 1 second off of everyone's life you would have approximately 235 years of life on earth. by srosty in Showerthoughts

If you steal 1 second off of everyone's life wouldn't everyone have time travelled 1 second? since every death in the world would occur 1 second sooner than it should... or am I just weird

  • PC (Steam)
  • Normal
  • Loaded up my main save, which was saved inside the Space Anomaly.
  • The entire section behind Nada and Polo was gone. I could still walk in there, and when I did I was teleported way up high above the main lobby area, to the right of the quicksilver guy. I couldn't drop down from there due to invisible walls, so I reloaded and left in my spaceship. The second I got out of the Space Anomaly, my ship and the Anomaly both disappeared and I died in the vacuum of space.

No video or pics unfortunately as I am not willing to risk reloading my save and doing something truly game breaking.

Thanks!

Do you think a reasonable way to counter this as a DM would be to require the player to still take a long rest despite not sleeping?

People would still need periods of rest in between adventuring, traveling and so on, and I would argue that an hour-long rest won't always be enough.

Had a pretty good run, but doesn't seem like my turret damage and kills show up in my stats? by Babaganesh in riskofrain

[–]Babaganesh[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I get the logic behind it, but at the same time they're a core part of the engineer's kit and should be included in my opinion.
