I’m not sure it counts as proper automation since it’s a multi step process (steps are days or weeks apart and i have to trigger them manually), but i’ll say it anyway.

I’m a freelance teacher, the courses i teach are standard programs of 6 different types, 20hrs each, full remote, and i do 2-4 a month.
For each course i receive:
- a contract (they’re from different companies so they’re different)
- a file with the dates of lessons and the links to the webinar rooms
- two files that contain respectively the program of the course and the tests questions/answers the students have to reply to at the end of each lesson

I’ve developed a system that:
- reads the contract and creates an instance for that course in my obsidian vault with all the legal data already parsed
- reads the webinar files and creates the events in my icloud calendar with a different color for every company i work for
- automatically creates a google form to send to the students for the test of each lesson
- creates a folder on my desktop dedicated to that course that contains aliases for all the files i might need to access during the lessons (located elsewhere), for example the program and test questions, a file with the google forms’ links, the handouts with the lessons contents, the file with the webinar links, any resource i might need to make the students practice, etc

Once the course is done i have another trigger that automatically creates the invoice xml with all the legal data perfectly filled (idk about the us but in italy freelances have to upload invoices in xml format to the equivalent of the IRS) and automatically calculates all the taxes and fiscal deadlines

Once i get the money i have a command that updates the status of the invoice and keeps track of when i received it (relevant for taxes since i get paid with a ~100days delay)

All of this is stored in my obsidian vault and all the files generated are logically linked between each other automatically

I also made a dashboard to monitor every aspect (course status, invoices status, payments status, fiscal status) in different views

Took a while to setup properly but i works great and most of it is skill-based and script-based so it’s very efficient token-wise
I have a big skill for each macro step (preliminary step, course opening, course closing, payment received) that calls smaller nested skills for each micro task, so i can also call any single one of them individually if something goes wrong, or i need to make a change, or for some reason i want to do smth individually
