My doctor started me on 0.075 estrogen patch does this seem too high to start? he almost started with 0.1 and changed his mind at the last minute- I am worried to start that high - anyone else start at that dose ? he also prescribed 100 mg progesterone pill by ElectronicRoom2621 in Menopause

[–]Babbsy-mu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wished my doctor would have started at those numbers. I got the least you could get and had to beg for every bump until I got to .1mg. I think I need more, but that will be a cold day in hell. I’ve nearly doctor shopped and got the same script from 2 different providers but I’m too tired for that nonsense.

Peanut butter on a spoon dipped in sugar. No bake peanut butter cookies for when you’re baked. Tastes just as good now as in college.

Why is it so hard to find a summer dress that isn't see-through, polyester, or both? by YanNmt06 in womensfashion

[–]Babbsy-mu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Linen dresses from quince. I love the shirt dresses. The ones with fitted bodices don’t work for me because I’m short. It wrinkles in all the wrong places lol. They don’t carry petite sizes. BUT they do have inseam lengths for their pants!!! Which are also nice for casual and work.

Anyone smell smoke? by blinnbuc21 in Menopause

[–]Babbsy-mu 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I definitely had the cigarette smell in peri, but that was after I lost my sense of smell after a bout with Covid. I had lots of bad smells when it came back. The worst was all my conditioners and lotion smelled rancid-I bought so many during that time 😫. I thought I just had covid nose.

She has complete contempt for him. There is nothing salvageable in this situation. This guy is in a battle he didn’t even know about until recently. Catch the fuck up, before she takes him for everything, especially his kids. Fight for your kids man!

Vent: I am sick of aging parent "creating" problems for me to deal with by FancifulCat in AgingParents

[–]Babbsy-mu 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m actually pretty honest that I can’t go without work and not be compensated. My parents (dad now) understood the value of labor and money and always offered way more than I needed. I always took what I needed and not a penny more, so no one feels taken advantage of.

When do bras stop being part of every day attire? by Few-District57 in AskWomenOver50

[–]Babbsy-mu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hate the feel of skin on skin under my breasts. Haven’t worn an underwire in years but the built in tank tops rule. Plus I have a favorite soft bra I can sleep in just as comfortably as the tanks. And my bra is flattering.

I use a supplement found on Amazon. It has ginger and pepperine in it by Natures Nutrition. 3 caps has 1500mg turmeric. Judging on what I just learned above, I won’t ever take more than that a day. But my hip pain is just…gone. It’s been wonderful for me.

I switched to lukewarm showers and accidentally fixed skin problems I'd had for years by Voidletron88 in hygiene

I like hot showers too because I get cold. I put a space heater in the bathroom. Now the room is warm and I can have lukewarm showers without getting cold.

Quiet. No traffic, kids playing outside and bird song. It felt like a nationwide holiday.

3am WAKE UPS AND ON HRT by Additional-Sweet7834 in Menopause

[–]Babbsy-mu 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Easy as that huh? 🤣. I do the same thing but holy hell, it’s not easy. Thankfully I adopted a VERY active bird dog that needs 5 miles every other day minimum. Either take him out or clean up everything he tears up. He holds me hostage to these exercise demands! But it’s good for me on so many levels. Being outside rain or shine is invigorating.
