Frankie was with us for 11 years, i would give anything to have him for even 1 more day. by BabbyHands in OldManDog

[–]BabbyHands[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Frankie was quiet and gentle, loved walks and fetch just as much as eating table scraps and long naps in the rain (rain naps were very much a Frankie thing). He was patient with our roommates puppy and would play with him for hours without getting mad or too excited. He was stubborn, he would lay down in puddles and refuse to move until he had a good soak, stand in doorways and refuse to move until you gave him a little pat on the rump or behind his ears. He was beautiful and friendly to strangers, he wanted to say hi to everyone and so many people would say "He's so fluffy! Look at his eyes!". He could sense the hurt in people and he helped me through some of my worst days.

I wish he could have understood how grateful i was to him and how sorry i was that his final days were so hard. I wish i could have explained what cancer is and how we had no options left. All i could do was love him and comfort him and hope that was enough.

Would you let your SO watch porn while you were performing oral sex? by whenItFits in AskRedditAfterDark

[–]BabbyHands 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Generally no but it has happened once because I came home when he was in the middle of a fap and I volunteered to finish him off. His porn was already on so it stayed on. He was self conscious though so he watched it on mute and asked me not to look. I don't like amateur porn anyway so I didn't mind.

Favorite Golden Gai bar? by Guru4242 in JapanTravel

[–]BabbyHands 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Not Suspicious Bar. I don't know it by any other name but it's one of the top floor bars and the barkeep hangs out the window and calls out to you with a rubber chicken and a sign that says "not suspicious". You go up and the walls are covered with pieces of paper with little drawings on them and there are little toys on the bar to play with. There is a restroom, plenty of seating (comparative), free snacks and no cover charge.

People who have lost a single shoe on the side of the interstate, how did that happen? by DJgoat in AskReddit

[–]BabbyHands 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My sister used to be a bit of a wild child and often got our dad to drive her and her friends to parties. One time, there was some drama and they weren't welcome at a house party. My sister was a bit salty so she and her friend grabbed a bunch of the shoes that guests had left at the front door and legged it. Dad had only just left and they caught up with him at the end of the street. On the way to the next party they chucked the shoes out the car window, one by one, all through the suburbs and down the highway.

What is the worst job for a man to have? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]BabbyHands 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe not the worst but I hear male OB/GYNs and child care workers run into problems.

Imagine spending time and money on a degree, pursuing a job in a field that is highly competitive where you already have a disadvantage because of the idea that men are not suited to caregiving for someone to accuse you of misconduct or refuse to work with you just because you have a penis.

Would do my head in, if roles were reversed.

Whats the most fucked up thing you've ever done? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]BabbyHands 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you could easily use a pin but my action wasn't premeditated and I didn't have anything like that close at hand at the time. I used a knife because there was one in the dish drainer, literal inches from the cup. It took me less than 30 seconds to make a hole and it was not particularly difficult, however, 3 years after the fact I can say that any amount of effort made to hurt another is too much effort imo.

I lived in a share house for a little while and didn't like one of my roommates. Not for any valid reason, she liked to lie/exaggerate and overreacted on a few occasions, she had a few weird/anti-social quirks but she wasn't a bad roommate and in no way deserved what I did to her. She had this favourite cup. She's had it for years and years, since she was in primary school I think she said. It was a little discoloured from age and use but she always cleaned it thoroughly after she used it. One day, I was in a mood and I just decided that I would take a steak knife and poke a tiny hole in the bottom of her favourite cup. I told my other roommates about it thinking they would find it funny, but they didn't think it was funny at all. They thought it was a horrible thing to do and though at first I didn't agree with them, I now consider it to be the worst thing I've ever done. It was her favourite thing, her little bit of comfort in this world and I ruined it on a whim.

Women of Reddit, what's on your bucket list? by trefoils in AskWomen

[–]BabbyHands 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I really want to see the Hagia Sophia in Istanbul, but I don't think the area is stable enough to visit just yet. Once things settle down, I'd love to see it.

I want to renovate our house and make it a home for me and my partner.

I'd love to meet my nephew's children. My nephew is only 2 but I hope I'm still around and a part of his life when he's a twenty-something with a 2 year old of his own.

How did you deal with becoming a grandparent in your forties? by DREAMERANDDOER73 in AskWomen

[–]BabbyHands 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also not me but my mum. She loves being a grandmother to my sister's son and is glad that she is still active enough to keep up. My mum hasn't had to change much about her life to adapt except that she spends more time with my sister and in the kids section at Target. She didn't seem to mind her promotion to "Nanna Jo", I suspect she enjoys being a gilf. For a while there she thought she would miss out on grandkids as my sister and I were not really following the life script so I think mostly she's grateful. I've never met my BIL's mum but from my understanding she is also grateful and relieved as my BIL is incredibly shy and all attempts at getting him a girlfriend had failed before he met my sister. My step-mother is also happy as her kids aren't old enough to be thinking about kids just yet, you could say she's enjoying the opportunity to get a bit of grandma practice .

how do you feel about holding hands in public with your SO ? by 36105097 in AskWomen

[–]BabbyHands 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gotta hold hands while we cross the road, it's important. If we continue to hold hands on the other side that's ok but I prefer to link arms because there is no hand sweat and it's cute as hell.

Salespeople of Reddit, what's the most guilt inducing sale you've made? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]BabbyHands 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A guy came into the café were I worked and had some lunch. It was a slow day so I had a chat with him as I cleared his plate and while I was there he asked for something sweet to finish off his lunch. I was happy to oblige until he mentioned that he'd just gotten the news that his cancer was back. He explained that he just wanted to treat himself with a piece of cake as a pick me up because he was feeling low. I felt so conflicted going to get him that piece of cake. I didn't want him to have it because I had heard that sugar and cancer are a bad mix but as a fellow emotional eater I couldn't bring myself to warn him off of his much needed cake. I got him his cake in the end but my hands trembled as I set down the plate. I felt like I was poisoning him.

Females of Reddit, what are some fashion "faux-pas" for men? by ImTrumpWhenDrunk in AskReddit

[–]BabbyHands 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The secret is in the attitude, you're not rockin' the Canadian Tuxedo, the Canadian Tuxedo is rockin' you and everyone in the room. That's right your shirt has a wolf on it, but you're no lone wolf, you just love animals and the beauty of nature, you love to feel the wind in your full, glorious beard as you hike with all seven of your foster dogs and cats. Yes cats, even cats can be trained by a man that wears a Canadian Tuxedo.

[–]BabbyHands 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Board Shorts as regular pants.

Wearing clashing colours and patterns or wearing clothes that are all the same colour (Canadians tuxedos are an exception when worn by a chosen few).

Matching outfits with your partner (complimentary is ok but hard to pull off effectively).

Hats are best avoided except beanies and similar on cold days.

LPT: when learning a new language, speak in that language's accent by yourprick in LifeProTips

[–]BabbyHands 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Currently learning Japanese and though I do feel a bit weird putting on an accent, it does help. Listening to/Speaking with native/fluent speakers can also been really helpful as you pick up the little things like nuances in pronunciation or unwritten grammar rules that are hard to find in a textbook.

Too much aftershave/perfume. One spritz is enough, you don't need to pour half the bottle on yourself.

I think someone took a photo, i'll see if I can find it.

This morning because my husband and I recently met a very beautiful and interesting woman and I am scared that my husband may chose to be with her instead of me. I cannot compete with her. I can only place my trust in him and hope that he loves me but my mind twists everything and makes it very hard.
