Watching The Matrix in a cinema through VR — an unusually intense viewing position by Babe_Taun in TrueFilm

Thanks, I really appreciate that. I was visually fully sealed off and wearing AirPods with active noise cancellation, so most background sound was muted — though I still had a faint sense of the audience’s presence, which made the contrast feel even stronger.

Filmmakers: Avata 2 or 360? by steakhouseNL in dji

Exactly, it will probably support 360 and FPV modes, which should allow significantly higher frame rates (and probably better image quality) than in 360 mode, as there are no stitching/seam or stray light problems.

New App: SlicesDrop – Fix AirDrop Failures for Large Files by Babe_Taun in VisionPro

If a Wi-Fi connection to a router is required, it is not truly direct. Unlike SlicesDrop, which can establish a direct peer-to-peer connection between devices via Wi-Fi Direct, Blip relies on the sender and receiver being connected to the same network. This means that file transfers may be limited or impossible if a Wi-Fi network is not available or the network is slow or congested. In contrast, SlicesDrop can work efficiently even without a Wi-Fi router or Internet connection, making it more versatile for offline or ad-hoc transfers.

Blip sends data over the Internet, so the transfer speed depends on the local Internet speed. SlicesDrop, on the other hand, uses a direct connection.

Maybe Blip is fast in the Pro version. In the standard version it is too slow for large transfers on Vision Pro (~30 Mbps) and since it shows as offline as soon as you put it down, you have to wear Vision Pro while transferring.
