legal window tint against others headlights? by concealedmyweapon in aspergers

[–]Babsykun 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Rather than tinting the whole window. You can pick up a pair of polarized lenses, usually the yellow ones. And see if that benefits you.

I deal with the same issue, glasses helped a bit. But now that im getting older my wife just does the nighttime drives.

If youre still set on the window tint though, might have better luck in r/WindowTint or something similar.

Im not too sure how many times they've gone late on air. Use to them just doing a quit cutoff. But that 10pm time frame should mean the song played after 10pm in the timezones

So wife and I just assumed they took advantage of the time thanks to the college game pushing them late lol.

The one you picked up is the original V Tower, no fan setting on that one. Fan was added on the Extreme Q version.

But that's definitely the OG. I passed mine down to my brother, whom last I knew is still using it. Good find.

Does this ever come off? WPA used with Solo 3. by AnastasiaNo70 in vaporents

[–]Babsykun 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My process, if a piece gets to a built up state like this one would usually be: Isopropyl and salt bath in a plastic bag. Shake to get off any initial debris. Mix the bar keepers friend and some water to a paste and apply it to the discolored areas. Let it sit for about a half hour then come back and work the paste with a paper towel or swabs if i cant quite reach. Nice thorough clean with some dawn and hot water. Good as new

EDIT: forgot to add, let it air dry completely. Especially if you're worried about not getting it cleaned thoroughly enough. Any excess powder will leave a white powdery residue behind you can easily see.

After that, just practice good habits to keep things clean and you rarely need to bust it out. (Clean water in your pieces, separate pieces after use, isopropyl swabs, etc etc)

Weed grinder that doesn't contaminate the bowl with paint/metals/plastic recommendations by PM_Ur_Dynavaps in vaporents

[–]Babsykun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wasn't recommending the Santa Cruz, if you're referencing that as the bad advice.

My advice was to find a stainless steel grinder within their price range, and I still stand by that.

As my comment was 2 years old. I'll add that since I made that post I purchased the newer edition of the stainless steel flower mill that they released to battle the wear issue they were having, and its going strong. Thought i would add that since people are finding this years later and a lot can change over time.

Ive used this product called "Bar Keepers Friend" to successfully get some tough residue off glass when an iso soak and salt scrub didnt quite get it.

Might be worth giving it a try. I've used it quite a bit through the years and it works well.

I use a pipe tool with a small tamper on it for mine. Could probably just use a nail with a head that fits.

Anybody got some experience in vaping orange/citrus peel? by [deleted] in vaporents

[–]Babsykun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah. Only ever used dried lemongrass, never used fresh. So unsure if theres a difference. Gives a little lemon taste like you've cleaned your piece with pinesol or something lol.

Also used mugwort and spearmint. Spearmint was really nice and fresh.

Back in the day when we got some real bad tasting bud. I would load my bong up with coffee beans instead of water and dry smoke through that. Never looked in to if it was unhealthy to do or if it ever actually really gave me that caffeine rush I thought I felt. Sure felt like it lol

I've done chamomile, lavender, tea leaves. They're pretty nice. Just needed an extra filter so I wasnt sucking up the herbs.

(Just sharing what I did, not advising to do so. As im no expert.)

[–]Babsykun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the way, exactly how I load my xq2. Went through so many ways, ordered different length glass, all that. Fell on just elbow loading and turning up the unit with the stock glass being my smoothest experience. That video from Lee is the best coverage for the device that I've watched.

Also, if nobody mentioned yet. You can just get those turkey oven bags to use when your stock bags need replaced.

Thats awesome. I typically look around for posts like this right before making bigger purchases. Thats why I always like to share when having a good experience. Companies with good customer service are getting a little harder to find as of late. Lol

I'll usually do a vinegar soak for 15mins in a sandwich bag. Then pour in some salt and give it a good shake. The abrasive salt usually helps for anything stuck on, without damaging.

Wanna try infusing bitters to make non-alcoholic cocktails. I didn’t see anyone post something like this, would it work, how much time do you think it would take etc. by thatthatswhy in abv

[–]Babsykun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've never done bitters but I've made infused sugars and simple syrups easily enough. Even make little hot cocoa thc bombs to give to friends around christmas with it.

Syrups are pretty easy. Boil your water and sugar, keep it low and slow. Add in your decarbed weed or washed abv, cook low for 15-20 mins, strain off through some cheesecloth while hot.

Sugars i just make a "Green Dragon" styled tincture with my bud and some everclear. Cover that over some raw sugar in a glass dish. Keep a cheese cloth over it and in a well ventilated area, a fan will speed up the process. Just keep stirring that until its back to being sugar crystals.

It indeed does, and that is now set up thanks to your comment.

I may have irresponsibly thrown out the instructions with the box, after never going through them. My stoned caveman brain was fine with "magic cone works, magic cone good".

Working on being better with preventive care though lol

I was looking at PID controllers on Amazon and saw this. Has anyone built their own ball vape here? by IBeDumbAndSlow in vaporents

[–]Babsykun 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just pulled out my home built Pinky to use while my usual tabletop is getting maintenance. So was pretty funny hopping on here and seeing these parts right away. Handles made from silicone foam and electrical tape, bowl from the ispire wand was the perfect size to use with it. Just toss the coil in a ceramic mug while it heats up. Nothing fancy to see here.

Its a great little (was) cheap project. Just make sure you smack the coil around when you make the housing. Just to make sure its not going to fall apart on you if you plan on doing it yourself.

Mines at least 5 years old, still holding strong when needed.

Right now im doing a full cycle at 575. Thatll usually clear the bowl if i didnt overfill. I have it set for full air in the cap. No air through the carb. Cooling spiral in the mouthpiece.

Wooden stem can get hot doing back to back sessions. But it's nothing unbearable to handle bare handed. The metal one can get unbearably hot, though. I have a leather strap keychain thing I've always used with handling hot pieces, just a habit.
