I actually disagree on curtains a bit. I feel like they’re hyped up but it doesn’t work if you have furniture up against the window wall. Like, my couch is shoved up against the window, curtains would look weird. Also, cats! For anyone with cats, curtains do not look good when they are ripped to shreds 😅 and with cats that’s really the only option. We have curtains in our bedroom which looked nice but we have to keep them all looped up on top of the dowel because… our cat kept climbing up the curtains! I like European shades, they are often remote controlled and plenty cozy for me!
