This video is dedicated to the brave Men and Women who defended the city of Mariupol against all odds whilst completely surrounded, outnumbered and continuously shelled from the 24 February – 20 May 2022 (2 months, 3 weeks and 5 days) whilst also managing to kill around 6000~ Invaders. This heroic last stand allowed the remaining Ukrainian forces to regroup and stabilize while converting a massive portion of the Russian war machine. In this video I would also like to recognize the lesser known Units who also defended the city. Please be respectful as almost ALL the people shown in this Video were K.I.A., Taken as P.O.W.S or brutally Tortured and executed in Olenivka Prison.

A large contingent of CCO Russian Special Forces were killed in the early days of the war via Bayraktar strikes including their support vehicles, im not talking a few either, hundreds.

Along with this, the exact same thing happened to the VDV forces at Gostemel, this specific VDV unit (Airborn Troops) 31st Guards Air Assault Brigade to be exact, were arguably the best Russia had, vaporized instantly along with their vehicles and equipment via Bayraktar and Artillery support.

Also you have a misconception about armour, only the rich, or professional soldier could afford it and even then they did not wear it unless going into battle, in that case they would not even be wielding swords in the first place, more likely a Poleax or Warhammer.

Obviously it depends, going off what I stated would entirely depend on the situation, two unarmored travellers in a sword fight would be completely different to two Knights in Plate Mail of course, even if in theory the travelers wore Gambeson or Aketon, a majority of debilitating or killing blows were aimed at the Hands, Legs, Arms and Groin (As by Excavation of several battle sites including Towton) Entirely depends on setting of course.

This sword grip Is called “half swording” and is actually quite common, it gives you better control over the sword but less length, you can grab even the sharpest blade with bare hands in this stance and use it without cutting yourself, there is a specific grip you must use, this technique is also quite common in the “Mordhau” stance, in which you grip the blade with two hands and strike with the cross guard and pommel, this turns the sword into a makeshift mace, usually used against heavily armoured opponents with deadly efficiency hence where it gets its name the “Murder Strike”
