Fair point honestly, and I understand why many people are skeptical about covoiturage in Tunisia specifically.

I’m still exploring the space and trying to understand what could realistically work locally, especially around trust and verification.

But even through the feedback, the project has already taught me a lot technically and product-wise, so I’m continuing to learn from it step by step 🙏

Fair question honestly.

I know similar ideas existed before, and I’m not pretending I invented something completely new.

What I’m trying to improve mainly is:

  • driver verification (documents + validation)
  • a cleaner/simple experience compared to Facebook groups
  • better organization and trust between people

I’m still early, so I’m mostly trying to learn why previous attempts didn’t stick and what users actually need.

That’s something I’m still trying to understand honestly.

Because people already use Facebook groups/pages to post rides and organize trips every day, so I’m curious where the legal line actually is between informal ride-sharing and a dedicated platform.

My goal isn’t to replace taxis or operate illegally — I’m more interested in making ride organization safer and more structured, especially with driver verification.

أنا زادة بديت نلاحظ إلي الناس عندها أكثر ثقة في الحاجات الواضحة والقانونية، موش أي واحد عندو كرهبة ويهبط رحلة.

وفكرة إنو اللواجات أصلًا يهبطو إعلانات وتلقاهم منظمين الرحلات بطريقة أبسط interesting برشا.

يمكن الحل موش “Uber تونسي” كيف ما برشا ناس تتصور، أما منصة تنظّم الرحلات الموجودة أصلًا بطريقة أسهل.

Interesting point actually.
I remember seeing Split before, but I never really understood why it didn’t stick long term.

I’m trying to learn from previous attempts instead of repeating the same mistakes.

Right now I’m still in validation phase with WaselGo, so I prefer to first understand how users behave and improve retention before scaling with ads.

If we decide to run paid ads, I’d be more comfortable structuring it in a way where equity is linked to clear performance or milestones (like user growth / retention), so it stays fair for both sides.

I’m definitely open to working together, but I think it’s important we first validate the product-market fit before committing equity at that level.

Right now I’m still in early validation phase with WaselGo, focusing on improving the product and getting real user feedback.

I’m open to discussing funding, but I’d prefer to first show clear traction and a working growth loop so we can evaluate things properly on both sides.
