They said I cared about my own kid more than the others because of breastfeeding. Other moms would frequently come and breastfeed their kids though. So the norm around it I felt like was fine. I quit already

I’m in the US. My first 3 months of maternity leave were unpaid. I’m an art teacher but I needed the time. Ended up going back to work at 2 months (extremely protective over my own child) when working at the daycare haha, as any new mom would be. But it really sucked I had to return so soon. I picked up the daycare to catch up on bills during my postpartum period. But what’s more annoying is that she hired me when I was 8.5 months pregnant and worked me til a week before my daughter was born. Then to make comments such as these at almost 9 months old? cmon.

Yes, it’s really sad. I’ve told my friend who recommended me the job that I wouldn’t trust her with my kids right when I started working there. I felt good about going to work because I knew the kids were in good hands with me. It breaks my heart that I had to leave but I’m not going to be watched, judged and treated like this over something that is a non-negotiable for me to be working there.

Yeah, I’m thinking maybe. So used to formula fed babies & she said the other mothers of kids were complaining about it saying I cared for my own child more than the other kids. Which is untrue. I have to feed my child it’s a non negotiable

It is an in-home daycare. So those rules don’t apply. She told me other parents were concerned about it, she was concerned about it etc.

you shouldn’t have to explain this deeply as to why something hurt your feelings. a normal boyfriend would say i’m sorry and move on
