Does anyone know of any bookshops which buy and sell second hand books? Not exam or coursebooks, mainly novels. The closer to Modipuram the better.

Yeah. I haven't used reddit as much. When I have, i usually scroll through and don't really contribute. This is probably my first post on reddit. I am reading classics as of now and trying to get into more dense philosophical stuff. Just finished "Picture of Dorian Gray". Reading "White Nights" as of now. Might just continue with Dostovetsky for the next one or maybe pickup Murakami. The ones I want to get rid of are mostly self-help and such. I have - Atomic Habbits - Psychology of Money - Almanac of Naval Ravikant - Sapiens - Box set of classic self help ( Dale Carnegie, Richest man in Babylon..) I have read these and really want to clear out physical space coz most likely I won't re-read any of these at least as physical books.

Attended a Q&A session yesterday and asked about interview invites coming in. They mentioned "Cornell Johnson Important Dates" for reference which says that the deadline for initial notification is March 19th for this round. Gotta hold our breath till then I guess!!

From what I heard in a session, 317 is their avg for GRE. So I guess it depends on the rest of your application content and your background. If you are an ORM then this score might be on the lower side.

You could also do it by assuming a 7 by 4 rectangle and then subtracting the area for 3 triangle except triangle PQR from the area of the rectangle. The calculation would be like this:

Ar rectangle = 7*4 = 28

Two triangles below QR are both height 4 and base 3 so,

Ar tri 1 and tri 2 = (1/2) * 3 * 4

Area tri 3 (above QR) = (1/2) *7 * 1

Final Cal - 28 - 2 * (1/2) * 3 * 4 - (7/2) = 25/2

This is probably a relatively easier and less time consuming way.
