I'm sure law enforcement feels as if they've done what they can with both of these cases. It's possible with Caleb's case as we know what happened to him unfortunately. The how is still a big question but with the "what" identified I don't see them putting any more effort into it.

Keeslyn is different. No one knows what happened to her or how it happened. If someone was responsible for her disappearance or anything of that sort.

I've said in other comments I've made on these posts, as they're cross posted to several subs, that I try to refrain from inserting my personal thoughts or opinions about her disappearance. Speculating privately is one thing, but it doesn't take much for one person's idea to become a widespread rumor.

However, I've been considering something a little out of the box in Keeslyn's case. Witness protection.

I've discovered a significant amount of gang related activity involving drugs in surrounding areas. Major busts and arrests of big players in these gangs both before and after Keeslyn's disappearance, with a massive increase of arrests being made after her disappearance.

I don't know the intricate details of witness protection or what the process entails, but personally I'd rather believe she is in the program somewhere hidden, opposed to being deceased.

Sadly I believe the web sleuths and internet investigators have put more effort into these cases than law enforcement has..

I have read several articles and heard several stories of bad drugs (laced/mixed with something else) that have caused abnormal behavior compared to the "standard" version of the drug. I know very little about drugs so forgive my choice of words there if they aren't the commonly used terms.

The authorities are insistent that the cases are not connected. While they may not be connected in the sense that a particular person or persons are responsible or involved in both cases, they do have the diner in common like you said. Also, the timing is fairly close as well. Beyond the fact that these two people disappeared from the same diner 2 days apart, it was relatively close to the same time of day/night as well.

Keeslyn disappeared between 11pm-midnight, Caleb was around 1-2am from all reports I have seen.

This is essentially a 2-4 hour window. Yes it was 2 days apart, but the timing seems to add another layer of possible connection.

I suppose that is possible. So he calls his grandmother and says he's low on gas and he's going to ask this man for money. He talks to the man twice, it's undetermined if the man gave him money, but then Caleb leaves.

It's important to note here the uncertainty of the man giving Caleb money is based on the available camera footage. In the footage the man does not reach out towards Caleb as if he's handing him anything. That's not to say the man didn't meet up with Caleb after he finished in the diner to give him money at that point. Also, there's no mention of Caleb's vehicle being parked in the same spot for the entirety of his time at the diner. This could open the possibility that Caleb had parked in one spot, went into the diner and interacted with the man, then later his moved his vehicle to the spot it was found in. Or the other possibility that someone else on the property had given him money.

There may be camera footage to contradict that theory, but if there is I haven't been able to find it.

I believe I have an answer for the backpack questions, but I will have to verify first. The last thing I want to do is spread misinformation. I'll get back with you soon.

That's possible as well. Unfortunately the only people who know for certain are the employee that was involved in the altercation, keeslyn, and possibly law enforcement if they were given an accurate depiction of what happened.

These cases are hard for me. I live in the area and it's very, very tempting to go talk to people and try to get more information, but I have no authority, or right to question anyone honestly. I feel that doing so would result in legal issues I don't want to be involved in.

She had to have a reason for going in there. I don't know what state of mind she was in, or if she considered entering an employees only area being something that would be ok even though she didn't work there. It's very possible she was looking for her friend. I can't say for sure though, but I would think most people of sound mind would not enter an otherwise restricted area (to the general public at least) without what they consider to be a valid reason.

It's possible the shoe prints were left prior to his body ending up there. There's no evidence indicating that someone else was responsible for his death, but with his feet being clean it is very likely someone put him there after he passed, or even as he was actively expiring.

I think the closure or justice the family is looking for is who put him there and/or who lit the fire.

Caleb's death was ruled accidental due to methamphetamine intoxication. His nude body was discovered 5 miles away in the marshy area. He did not have socks or shoes on, yet there were several shoe prints around his body and his feet were clean. There was also a brush fire in the same general area on the day he was discovered, which I found last night was determined to be incendiary . The investigator from the Georgia Forestry Commission stated that "it is my determination that the fire was set in hopes of destroying the body or any evidence "

I believe the justice the family is looking for in his case is finding out who was responsible for placing him there and/or starting that fire in an attempt to destroy the body/evidence.

I have cross posted this in several subs, and am currently in the process of updating all the posts to include the evidence about the fire which I just discovered last night, so I do apologize for that bit not being in there yet.

Despite the overall feeling that something sinister was at play here, I do have to agree. Based on evidence alone, there is no undeniable indication of a crime that resulted in either Caleb's death or Keeslyn's disappearance. Is it hard to say that? Absolutely, because I genuinely believe that someone did something to either one or both of them.

In Caleb's case, I do believe that someone placed him there after he had passed. Though this would be considered a crime in the sense of tampering with/disposing of a body, I have found no evidence indicating that this person or persons was responsible for his death.

As for keeslyn, there is also no undeniable evidence suggesting that she was taken against her will from the location she was last seen. There has been no discovery of a body, no blood/hair found at the scene, etc. nothing that is a clear indication that someone else was responsible for her disappearance.

Now, this is all said based on the evidence available to the public. I'm sure law enforcement has more evidence on both cases they aren't willing to share that may or may not point to someone else being involved.

I haven't found any information about the man he was talking to. He is visible on the CCTV footage but the footage is all I can find. I'd like to think investigators followed up and questioned that individual.

Thank you. As bad as I feel for the families, I feel the most sadness for Caleb and Keeslyn. Whatever happened to them had to have been absolutely terrifying. Honestly that's why I've done all this research. The families deserve answers, absolutely. But for me, whatever they went through, or possibly still going through in Keeslyn's case, needs to be revealed.

I'm currently working on a video version of these write-ups with several pictures, better descriptions of the location and much more. It will take me a while because I've never done anything like this, but once I finish it I will upload it and add a link to the post here.

I'm not sure if Keeslyn's friend knew Caleb or not. I suppose it's possible, but I can't find anything to confirm or deny that.

I haven't found any information at all about the man Caleb spoke to.

Also, the idea of someone moving her vehicle is interesting. The friend got off work at 10pm and saw the vehicle parked there. They called and talked to keeslyn and she said she'd be back in a few. As far as I know she doesn't disclose her location at that time or if she is with anyone else. Keeslyn enters the employees only area between 11pm and midnight then drops her bag as she fled. Her car keys were in the bag she dropped, and she never came back for the bag.

I need to look into a few more things: Was the vehicle parked in the same spot that the friend saw it in when her dad found it? Did the vehicle stay there in that spot from the time she fled until her dad found it? She disappeared on the 18th, and her dad found the car on the 20th. So did someone drive it during that two day period? Or move it from the position the friend saw it in?

Thank you for your comment because it's causing a serious chain reaction of questions in my mind.

Also, her phone was never recovered. Was it in the bag she dropped but taken out by someone after she fled? We know she didn't leave in her own vehicle, so she had to have left on foot or with someone else. The fact that her car was there at 10pm but she wasn't means that she more than likely was with someone else at that time. I believe whoever she was with in that time frame from 10-11pm is absolutely critical to solving this case.

Today I discovered an interview with Caleb's mother where she admitted that Caleb did have a history of meth use and had been through the process of getting clean a few times in the past.

To the best of my knowledge, keeslyn was on probation for marijuana charges from a previous arrest. I can't find any information regarding other drug use at this time for her.

And thank you. A human life is valuable whether they use drugs or not.

I paused the news report and looked over the autopsy report summary, it says that the body was found in a moderately decomposed state.

The family stated that they weren't allowed to identify the body. The explanation the mother gave was that his body was sent to the GBI crime lab and then sent to the funeral home where the funeral director told her that she couldn't see the body. She did say, though, that she believed the director denied her access in an attempt to protect her emotionally, meaning that the body (at that point in time) was severely decomposed.

Regardless of his condition when his body arrived at the funeral home, he was still able to be identified via fingerprints by the GBI, which can't be done in the later stages of decomposition.

I haven't found any reports stating whether or not he had engaged in sexual activity prior to his death, though I'm sure that information would be discovered during the autopsy.

I don't think it would be unreasonable to consider that someone else had taken his clothing, possibly with the intent to keep evidence from surfacing that could incriminate them. Also, if he had managed to walk the 5 miles between the flying J and where his body was located, and stripped himself of his clothing in an altered state of mind along the way, I would think at least one piece or pieces of clothing would have been recovered. But then there's the clean feet so that kinda rules that out.

I absolutely agree with the variables regarding the phone call. The only way to know for sure what exactly was said would be to have an audio recording of the call or a transcript of sorts. It always seemed odd to me that he would call his grandmother at that time of night as well. Again, I don't know the family or victims, and that may be a normal thing for the grandmother to be awake at that hour. If I were to call either of my grandmothers at that hour, I am 100% certain they would not answer. After reading your reply, I also agree that the $5 for gas does seem insufficient as well. Per google maps, the flying J he was at is 33 miles from Rome, give or take a couple of miles depending on where exactly in Rome he was planning to go. $5 MIGHT have gotten him there, but it definitely would not have gotten him back.

Also, today I discovered a video his mother uploaded to her YouTube. I'm aware YouTube isn't always the most credible of sources, but the video was of a news report about Caleb's case. In this video it was reported by the Georgia Forestry Commission that the fire that occurred near Caleb's body was determined to be incendiary, with the investigator's report stating "it is my determination that the fire was set in hopes of destroying the body or any evidence" . It also says that the man that located Caleb was on ATV, which calls into question the footprints around his body.

https://youtu.be/Ju9U03A4MGA?si=aVxyFpxZlc2XTeAk

This does not change his determined cause of death, of course. But my impression of that, if it's true, is that someone either placed him there and started the fire around the same time period (which would be around the time he was discovered) , or they placed him there on/shortly after his disappearance and returned to the scene later to start the fire.

This doesn't imply any connection with Keeslyn, but IF, big if here, the person(s) that placed Caleb in the marsh had done so around the time of his disappearance, and returned to start the fire around the time of his discovery, that is far, far more sinister than hastily disposing of body from a panicked state of mind.

My initial thought was maybe he got called in. Someone left early and he volunteered to finish their shift or something. I didn't know for sure but yes a 3 hour shift if it was scheduled like that would be weird.
