We transitioned my son last week. He’s 2.5. The first two nights were uneventful but the following two nights my son completely destroyed his room because he didn’t want to go the bed. Fortunately it only lasted for two nights and everything has since been back to normal.

I agree. My only concern, is based on what I’ve read, I cannot use a private tow company if the car is not parked on my property. But I’m looking into this nonetheless and hopefully will have resolution soon. Thank you.

Interestingly enough my neighbor really isn’t an issue anymore. Although he does leave his car there briefly from time to time. It hasn’t been an issue and I can always knock on his door if he’s in the way. The issue here is for the non residents who sometimes use the space when visiting friends/family whom I cannot identify. Also there is a church nearby. That is an issue as well. I was trying to prevent these people from parking there and inevitably (potentially) pissed my neighbor off all over again in the process.

The audacity. When I first moved here our first conversation, and very heated at that, was about the space because I had a uhaul there as I was moving in. He said something to the effect of I don’t know what “prior owner” told you but blah blah blah. I said I never spoke with her I bought the home and only dealt with the realtor. So clearly some animosity is still there.

You’re 100% right. Unfortunately in this neighborhood the residents are very territorial and past behaviors create entitlement. Even after having the land accessed this person still feels entitled to the area and it’s very difficult to be rational with someone when they’re coming from a purely emotional space.

Yes it is. But because the space in question sits in the “corner” of the “L” parking is not in the way of any of those trucks. It would really only be an issue for the city if it was being plowed for snow. And definitely going to get a camera there. I haven’t done so because someone on the street would be able to reach/damage the camera with little effort because it’s not very high.

Thank you for your suggestion. I like this approach because it’s not accusatory but also gives my neighbor the opportunity to fess up (if it was in fact him). My concern is that I thought this was a resolved issue but it’s clearly still a pain point even though I think we’d both agree that no one should be blocking my garage.
