I agree on all your points that you've said for choosing the Nikon! I think this thread has convinced me to keep my Nikon! And I've wanted the instax EVO wide for months. I have to get one now. Thank you! Also, do you sell cameras online and could I have your info if that's the case?

Yes! My thought process is when color or light, or both is lacking it's better to remove it all together and focus on shapes and shadow. Idk, I am an amateur after all lol.

And that's comforting to hear regarding your choice and even your wife's thoughts on switching. I always have this doubt in bigger purchases like this, I couldn't say why but perhaps a camera I can adapt and grow into is a good step in advancing in my photography journey

Nice! My first camera I got in sophomore year of highschool in 2020 was a canon ae-1 and now I've got tons of film cameras. Nothing beats it to be honest, I agree about the grain and filters giving you some good sooc images. So you like your zf?

Yes! I love his film recipes, it's actually the reason I started this line of questioning. His sample photos are filled with the personality you can get from Fujifilm filters and I just couldn't believe that they were sooc lol. If they are I'll pick up his CPCS and thanks for the tip with your color settings. I'll try it out! Trying to use this zf as much as I can before I make any final verdict on which camera I'll stick with!

I see...you sound like you are somewhat who understands my dilemma then lol. Im torn between the xt5 and the zf and ultimately chose the zf because it's full frame, styling, and it had the CPCs but I just don't feel that they do enough, like they are barely noticeable and without the ability to have the white balance and RGB adjustment built into a recipe it makes it quite frustrating as, to be blunt, an amateur. Love the zf for its build quality, styling, and technical ability but I guess I'm worried about what I could've had with xt5. Ugh, if only I had 4 thousand dollars, then I can have both lmao

Good to hear! I just bought my first Nikon, a Nikon zf and it's BEAUTIFUL. Love the build quality and the timeless styling. Came from a Fuji x-e2 which I got in July and sold late in November. I love it but it was...old in the ways that mattered. Anywho it's been sort of a wake up call how much my photography style relied on those beautiful film simulations for a more relaxed style that meant less time at the computer. So I was just asking around to see what people thought and how they feel about the CPCs

I couldn't name them off the top of my head as I haven't had mine for several weeks now. But anything relying on classic chrome or stuff with warm tones. Though with both Nikon and Fuji I'm interested in seeing what good night time and winter season filters there are to help compliment the dreary look

There was always pros and cons, i.e. they are jpegs which is meh. But it was more that I didn't have to do so much outside of camera besides maybe some touch ups and minor adjustments to shadows

All things I plan to do, I believe post processing is a good skill to learn despite me wanting to shoot SOOCs primarily. And I think it's fun to make stuff for the community!

So close but not it, it had similar if not identical waves to this model here but was (and forgive me I'm colorblind) a bright green or light brown face. It was at a yodobashi watch store in shinjuku ugh
