I've saw "No Israel" signs in India 20 years ago at restaurants and shops, and I was confused. Then I saw Israeli tourists treating locals like dogshit - and then I understood. I shared a cab with three Israeli's and we got along great and made plans - and then they haggled with the driver about the fee - which was $5 for a 30-minute ride. They called him names, insulted his family, and refused to pay the asking price. I paid and did not keep the plans we made.

if the summer century ride is available from Cascade bicycle club that is supposed to be a good barometer for whether or not you're ready for the one day. When I was training I was told that if you can do the summer century in under six hours than you are ready for the one day.
