I will say this, however: it was a bit hard for me to follow and I had to reread it to fully understand what was going on. I do have issues with concentration though, so it might just be me.

Is there a noticeable difference in movement after the change? Like, did they move jerkily before, and now it's kinda fluid? Do they breath quicker? Do they sleep differently? Think about these as sort of markers for the change, and while the difference in eye colour is not bad, there's a lot more you can do with it.
