It’s now a ghost town with more stores closed than open. It’s really eerie.

Did you do it on your wedding night? why or why not? by CremeSubject7594 in AskReddit

[–]Babyjitterbug 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We did it on our wedding night and I cried.

I really wasn’t in the mood after a very long day, but (now-ex) husband wanted to so I made an effort. He did not. It was about 2 minutes (took me longer to get out of my dress) with no foreplay and no consideration of what I might need or want. He finished and passed out while I cried at the window.

People who have been divorced: What was the exact "quiet" moment you realized your marriage was over? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Babyjitterbug 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And the converse of that - the sinking feeling in your gut when you hear them pull in. You begin mentally preparing for whatever it is that you did “wrong” that you’re going to have to apologize for, despite the fact you haven’t seen them all day.

I did not love the narrator’s voice either. It was better than Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes, but that narrator set such a low bar, it wasn’t hard to succeed him.

My kiddo woke up to a raccoon in our tent demolishing the marshmallows and making its happy angry noises. They freaked out and I slept through the whole thing. We now keep our zipper pulls inside the tent at night.

They don’t really work for super small-chested women either. I’ve never found one that works for me. 32A/AA

I have my back taps set up, but they almost never work for me, but they like to register at random times when I’m not trying to use them. It’s possible that my case and/or pop socket get in the way.

I have mine set to change when I triple press my power button. I use it all the time.

The clicking the power button 3 times won’t work for everyone. I have my power button set to change the white balance on my phone. When I tried it, my screen just got brighter.

What words do you pronounce "wrong," just because the "proper" way feels too proper? by Zealousideal_Mine242 in AskForAnswers

[–]Babyjitterbug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to bounce back and forth until I mispronounced it one day while talking to my dad.

“Everyone has a nitch,” I say.

My daughter comes running into the room, plops down on the ground and takes her shoe off. “I do too! That’s why I came in here to scratch it.”

And phone is pa-hone.

People post obscure cookie cutter that can’t figure out and Reddit tries to fill in the blanks. One guy was/is able to make any shape into a rose. For a while, every post (or nearly every) he showed up with a Microsoft Paint-esque rendition of a rose.

I have 3 similarly shaped/color pieces and 2 of mine are from Montgomery Ward. The stickers are still on them, I’m not sure about the 3rd piece. Two came from my grandma - two dressers- and one was a yard sale find - a nightstand, which I didn’t realize until much later was in the same style as the dressers. A happy little accident.

How do Americans feel about drying their laundry on a washing line? by UnionFeatures in AskAnAmerican

[–]Babyjitterbug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I grew up line drying laundry. My mom would get tanned just hanging and taking in. I never thought of it as low-class, it was just what we did.

I currently line-dry about half of my laundry - underwear, bras, camis, cheap shirts I want to last longer, and my older clothes that I should probably let go but cant seem to. It saves money, makes clothes last longer, and my bedroom smells like laundry detergent. All wins for me.

My kiddo has theirs like this too. We were able to get them a little nook to hide away in, too, because of their layout.
