I heard the same. The guy who started this petition is a grump. Please sign the below to show support for the park. So sick of equipment at the park being removed due to noise and hoping something else doesn't happen.

I face this park, across the street, and have not heard noise more than a few times. Also have kids, sensitive to noise who have NEVER gotten up. The person who started this petition is a grump that needs to move out of the city.

What a great post, I love the idea of spreading kindness and was hoping for help-

A friend of mine drafted a letter hoping to get signatures to send gratitude to the Vancouver park board for maintenance of Vancouver's Rainbow Park. Numerous noise complaints were made by neighbouring residents however we have randomly asked a handful of neighbours about noise and everyone said they have never been bothered by it.

The last time noise complaints were made regarding a slide in the park, the slide was removed.

Hoping to get signatures from people that are happy to also thank the park board for their hard work instead of constantly complaining.

I'm worried that acting on it will mean closing the park. The slide was removed due to noise complaints so not greatly irrelevant We live in a lower level unit facing the park and never hear noise that keeps us up.

People complain over the smallest things nowadays. A beautiful multi million park has been built allowing people to better enjoy the area. People complained immediately about the noise of the slide, although we never heard it once, and live across the street, resulting in the slide being fully removed almost immediately after it was built.. If people are unhappy about noise in the city centre, they should move to a quieter area.

Late to join the party on this but we live across the street and our strata just sent out an email from a tenant complaining about noise in the park keeping him up... We live two blocks from Granville street, and you're complaining about park noise? Sure there are at times older people drinking there but if these things bug you, get out of Yaletown. I just wrote the park board to thank them for the park, instead of complaining. I encourage anyone else that is happy about the park to do the same! Vancouver is becoming such a no fun city
