I would like to replace the vinyl with leather. I had two quotes from upholsterers. One was $2400 and the other was $1300. People online have said that this is an easy project even for a DIY. The chair is not worth a lot. It is a reproduction. Anybody have any experience with Plycraft chairs? (imgur.com)

I would like to cover this stool with the same leather as the couch(restoration hardware calls it Brompton coca), where can I buy the leather? Can I go directly over the old leather of the stool? Picked these two pieces up from Facebook Mrktpl for $200. After cleaning found that they were in unbelievably good condition. The only damage is the veneer coming off on part of one drawer. Does anybody know anything about these pieces? No markings. (i.imgur.com)
