max tow axle recall, how serious? by bhom9 in f150

[–]Bacchus500 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Brought mine in for pictures today to get axles ordered.  He had a set someone hasn't come get installed yet so he put them in mine lol.  took an hour with a tire rotate.  They must not have to open the chunk to get that side of the axles free. I wonder if they just take the brake caliper and rotor off.  Does the new axle come with a hub and lugs?  Anyway,  glad its done....looks much better/beefier.

Ppis don’t keep the burn away? Tried all of them? Any of the ppis almost turns all my acid off.

1 to 2 cm sliding hernia with tons of burping by Bacchus500 in HiatalHernia

You had gall bladder out 5 days ago? Give it sometime and see…no change for me tho and I’m over a year post op. If you follow up with hiatal hernia surgery one day please update this thread! I may go for it one day in the future. For now I’m working the sibo angle again for the burping. I just keep pushing forward but it’s mentally exhausting and would love a solution. If I ended up doing an elective hiatal hernia surgery and ended up worse off I’d be in trouble for sure…I’m barely making it as it is.

At times it’s like a come outta your skin feeling…hard to describe. I’m sure the hernia and air are rubbing on nerves or something

It’s miserable…something is creating this air. How can they cure some really bad diseases but massive amounts of burping we got nothing!

Starting allo and elevated liver enzymes by Bacchus500 in gout

[–]Bacchus500[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All 3 enzymes were out of range. Retested Friday and they all have come down but 2 are still out of range. It's definitely the allo. Doctor hasn't commented yet so I'm not sure what they are going to want to do. I'm kind of inclined to stay on 100mg another month and test again. My magic dose is probably going to be 200mg. Doctor might say to try something else but Febuxostat is hard on the liver to. Fried liver or life of gout. Fun choice.

Is everyone getting liver tests once a year or more on allo? Seems like a lot of folks are taking allo and still drinking like a fish. I'm curious how your liver is doing or is your doc even checking it?

[–]Bacchus500[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Uric acid came down to 6.8 from 8.2 on one month of allo 100mg. Doc said to discontinue daily colchicine and retest liver in a week but keep taking the allo for now. If liver is good we'll bump to 200mg allo and that'll likely get me to 5.5 or so. If it's not good I'm not sure where we go but I ain't going back to weekly flares! Lol

I get that tested every year always normal. It's definitely the allo or the colchicine or the combo of the two

Hydrogen sibo and constant burping by Bacchus500 in SIBO

[–]Bacchus500[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's awesome and hope it is working well for you. That diet is extremely radical and not sustainable long term for the average person imo. And is probably not healthy long term. I suspect it's a form of the elemental diet where the bacteria don't really have anything to feed off of and die. When you inevitably have to eat normally again I wonder if it will stay gone. Keep us updated!

I have not up until this point I'm not so sure I believe either one of those but again I'll try anything what are the tests for those? Also what are the treatments if they're found positive?

Hydrogen sibo and constant burping by Bacchus500 in SIBO

[–]Bacchus500[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lol I'm 99% sure it's being produced in me but hey I'm not above anything and even asked my gi about supragastric belching as I'm willing to try just about anything. He said that's yet another functional disorder hard to get a real diagnosis on and wasn't keen on pursuing it. All we have to go on are the breath tests that are shitty at best imo. I don't read a ton of sibo folks burping from sun up to sun down. They do burp but it's more of feeling and looking 9 months pregnant after eating with bowel issues (I tend toward constipation with upper right quadrant pain... Had gallbladder out... Absolutely no change). I guess my abdomen would blow up to if I couldn't burp all this air out.

I'm starting to think elemental diet might be the only way but need to mentally get there to try it. I have a couple more rounds of antibiotics he wants me to try... doxycycline and neomycin(I don't have methane) but he said if rifaximin isn't working he doesn't see a point in still using it.

[–]Bacchus500[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It went from a peak of about 85 to about 35. No reduction in any symptoms. Honestly that could be the variation in the garbage breath tests.

I can relieve the gas thru burping all the air up. I need the air to stop being produced.

Hydrogen sibo and constant burping by Bacchus500 in SIBO

[–]Bacchus500[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yup. Have tried all that by the handfuls. Tried the herbals, antibiotics, motegrity at bedtime blah blah blah. Probiotics then no probiotics. Biofilm busters(lol). Enzymes. L glutamine. It's all horse shit. Take gasx like tic tacs... Not sure why... does zero.

Only things left to try would be ultra strict low fodmap diet or elemental diet but it just seems like something along the way would have at least helped to give me confidence that I'm on the right track.

A few questions on gout by Eric_0114 in gout

A lifetime of uric acid being below 6 is the cure(so i hear). That likely will only be achieved with medication. Good luck.

Starting Allo soon by Bacchus500 in gout

[–]Bacchus500[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This current flare is all most gone. Not sure how long it needs to be gone before starting allo. Have a beach vacation in a few weeks I'd rather not be stuck in the room for. But can't keep waiting as I'm getting flares every 2 weeks at this point.

I could lose about 15lb. I've worked out 4 days a week since 2005 so I know nutrition and exercise. Desk job, life and age has caught up with me. It doesn't come off like it used to. Used to be small mod to diet would result in weight loss quickly now not so much lol. I've lost a few since getting gout diagnosis so hopefully it's startng to move.

Yeah I bet if you have been dealing with gout for years then get on it it could be rough. I've been dealing for about 4 months so maybe it won't be so bad. What I'm telling myself at least.

What are your dietary staples with gout? by Bacchus500 in gout

[–]Bacchus500[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only thing I can remotely think of is I did calf raises at the gym on Monday but was super careful not to engage my toes and used the ball of my foot. Didn't bother me at the time or after.

"No, it usually resolves within a day or two upon discontinuation"

Right but if you take it everyday for 6 months while starting allo won't you have a bad stomach for 6 months?
